  1. Check this out, dosen't look bat at all, certianlly good for rally or general beater status. I would buy it if it were closer. Subie!
  2. Yah, I was actually looking for carpet cleaner for my subie, as you can guess.... I still have dirty carpet :-p I checked a few other Wal-Marts, and found now more, so I've only seen the 3 they had so far.
  3. I found this last night at my local Wal-Mart.... the pic's stink, but I think you can see how awesome this is. I now give you, the Transformers Alternators 2004 WRX STI aka. Smokescreen.
  4. Oh, BTW... as they sit, I have about $250 in all these subies.. yah for all 3 of them. The 2wd used to be mom's, the white 4wd was given to me by a company (used to the the compeny car) and i got my '83 in trade for installing a radiator, hood latch and headlights in a Volkswagon Fox. All the m oney I have in them is tires, title/tags and a few parts. Not bad eh? Seems no one around here wants these worn out subies anymore, what a shame.
  5. A sweet idea, but I'd imagine that a WRX engine wouldn't be anything near cheap.
  6. Good, it's a handy thing to have. Funny story, my dad's cousin bought a '83 or '84 Brat new. One night it was stolen and when it was found later the next day it was parked with a flat tire and a full tank of gas.... when it was stolen it was on dead empty. Now that's justice!
  7. I'm trying to talk mom and her BF into ditching the hubcaps and putting on white spoke wheels.
  8. Hit and run damage from a Honda. He pulled out in front of me, drunk driver with out of state temp tags. The soobie ripped his bumper completely off. When the cop got there he aske me what color the car was, I pointe to the bumper laying there and said "White!"
  9. Just shot a few pics of my Soobies, they aren't pretty... but I love 'em anyway! Enjoy!
  10. Ok, kinda what I thought. I was juts curious if maybe you converted the tailshaft and housing or something, guess not. I still have a few options though. My landlord has a non running '85+ Wagon with a 5-speed and I also still have my '84 4wd wagon with the 4-speed. There may be some issues with the 4-speed, but a lady I work with has an immaculate '84 Brat and her husband it the most amazing aoob mechanic I've ever met. He can and prob will do any work I heed on my 4-speed, so I'm good either way. I'm just gonna ride the auto until it poops out. It's great to have a backup plan isn't it?!
  11. Thanks for the info guys! I do have one question at the moment. How do I make a 5-speed (front wheel drive trans) work in my 4wd 'roo? I've heard a few talking about 5-speed 4wd's. What's the deal?
  12. Found these, you've probabally seen them but I thought they look awesome and were worth posting.
  13. Oh yeah, I did the vacumn test, could hear nothing and also no increase in RPM. I'm thinking carb?
  14. Both. Since my last reply I've replaced about half of the vacumn lines, the plugs, wires and the vacumn modulator valve in the transmission. I still have the proble. It's driving me insane!
  15. I had this prob on one of my 84's. I made a harness for it and hooked it directly to a toggle switch. Makes a handy theft detternt device!
