npt=national pipe thread

its not that hard to eyeball. its either a 1or2 npt if i remember. go to napa, and one of the old guys(not the young guys, they never know) which one it is. napa has alot of brass fittings, even get a t so you can use the mech guage and sending unit. i think ea81 and 82 are the same

thanks legacy777 thats what i wanted to hear! i want to use the na computer, cuz thats all that is in the junkyard. can i just plug a turbo computer in? will i then need turbo injectors and fuel pump? hmmm. i want to use stock subaru stuff, without getting into rising rate rugulators, and piggy backs. im thinking even if i cant tweek it at all i will be happy with a turbo 2.2:headbang:

I HAVE HAD A 10:1 COMPRESSION TURBO CAR WORK GREAT! and there are a couple 9.5:1 compression ea82s running around with great results, on stock computer and internals. im just wondering about the fuel injectors and computer. does the maf sensor just measure the air coming, even if its boosted? trust me the high comp will be fine:banana:

87 turbo running very rich (solved)
archemitis replied to Skip's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
but if everything is in tune, and you are intercooled, the most hp is right at stoic. i'de rather run stoic than rich and melt my manifold and turbo -

was it a new radiator or just a junkyard one? you could have a sticky thermostas, even though its new. does your auxillary electric fan work? are you using ac? -

SEE... you said stock EA81T. im gonna use a na lower end, and push about 15lbs with a t3, and use mpfi, or spfi. that should double my 75 horsepower, and i will save alot of weight. i figure i can either focus on building manifolds, or swaping the motor, and tranny. -
EA81&EA82 Intake Manifold Q.
archemitis replied to JonOfScio's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
how bout using the ea82mpfi system on an ea81? custom intake, but it would handle a turbo alot better, with more boost:banana: -
what are you doing with the old motor? i could use the heads cant you use the efi pump and just put a regulator on it, ant the carb? 2-3 lbs is stock for carb, right?
-
i am torn here. i have a ea81 hatch, with carb. i am trying to figure out if i should graft mpfi from an ea82, and build custom manifolds and turbo/intercooler, with a t3. or put a 2.2 na in there. a stock 2.2 would have as much hp, if i turbo the ea81 right , argh. what do you guys think? its for street use, and i think i'll stick with 2wd 5speed. hondabeater:clap:

OIC thanks alot

are all ea81ts multiport injection? do they have a spider intake? do the ea82 mpfi intakes fit on these heads? anybody have good pics?
