  1. the subaru adventure support group... i have timing belts and distributors on hand:D in minneapolis. check the email
  2. just wait 6 more months, and mother nature will take care of it for you. damn minnesotas love for salt!:-\
  3. i have been trying to get the carb right with the stock timing... never thought it could be a timing issue.hrmm
  4. i have been runing a weber on my ea82 carb motor for about 6months now, and i have never got it to run right. it seems like it needs double accelerator pumps, because when i mash the throttle theres nothing, then all the sudden she goes like crazy. which makes me think i need more fuel from the accelerator pump, does that sound right? im about to go back to a hitachi, because im not sure this 32/36 is all its cracked up to be. in short i need some help with jetting and tuning.
  5. nice discs. your more of a hammer guy morgan:headbang:
  6. pull the grill with the four screws. pull the cable. throw away hood mechanism and install hood pins:D never happen again
  7. my 8x wagon did that with a hitachi carb. people told me it was the idle solenoid? it lets gas into the idle circuit, and turns off when the ignition is off, so you dont get after run. mine must have been stuck shut or someting, because i ran some seafoam and it got her back to normal. hitting the brake and the gas at the same time can make for some funny red lite action.
  8. junkyard ea82 aluminum. works like a charm. i would figure out why you are losing coolant though. maybe intake gaskets are loosening up.
  9. SOMETIMES i like to dance like the banana:banana: OH YEAH !
  10. 12 psi and 89 octane=hole in piston or the timing is so retarded because the knock sensor is going crazy from pings. i would say run good gas, or do some testing, and get a good intercooler.
  11. use one of the empty holes in the fuse box and use a factory 15 or 20 amp. or just an inline fuse(the little glass tube ones)
  12. thats why alot of people say head straight for them, and dont swerve. deer have to be some of the stupidest damn animals. natures speedbumps that kill! disc brakes rule! and its funny to still see new production cars with drums in the back.
  13. i bet you guys just pulled the speedo cable out of the back of the speedo a little. its easy to do on accident. just reach up where it goes in the back of the speedo, and push it back in.
  14. crappier mileage, no controll over your own vehicle, and... crappier.
  15. i think a 5speed will do you good. 4th gear in my old brat, for 13 hours on the way to texas at 85 mph... lets just say buzzzzzzz i like the 5speed lots better, lower revs at higher speeds.
  16. poop on your shoe! thats gotta be it cuz this is gay
  17. what the hell kinda crap is that... they bring back a crappy name like the justy and ditch the all might brat? B11S:slobber:
  18. it seems like every car i have gotten into, subaru, isuzus,(mostly), always have the greatest numbers in washington. i think you guys got the largest numbers of the best options. like turbo brats, touring wagons, hatchbacks... all that stuff, wish i was a west coaster.
  19. this is for the one awd impulse rs, that they only made 800 of, but will it work for the subarus? it just tricks the computer right? http://www.kipanderson.net/rs/fce.htm
  20. well how many miles? is your turbo smoking at all? hows the oil pressure on the guage? the turbo could be wearing out and scraping aluminum off the side of the compressor and shooting it into your cylinders. it might be your turbo eating itself. then you'de be cool with a new turbo did you ever make it over to morgans house? i could take a look at it sometime.
  21. BUT... can you just stick a single piece drive shaft without a carrier bearing, in place of a two piece? and what all did the single pieces come one?
  22. never seen a subaru one up close. but the best ones i have seen incorporate the skid plate into the bumper. with large round tubing.
  23. new post maybe... i wish i could make it down there, but money is tight(like always) for me too.
  24. MAN... all you need is a hack saw. make the shifter shorter, and it makes the throw shorter. i have done it on 3 subarus, and my brother has his short as hell too. sounds ghetto, works good. i'll post pics later. other than that, a shifter linkage piece has to be changed
