  1. if the pistons came out of the block you are putting them back into, then yes, it does matter. you always stick them back in the same hole they came out of if you are building a motor from scratch, they should all be the same part number. but you have to make sure they fit like they should.
  2. abs is not the coolest mod i have ever heard of. especialy early 90s systems
  3. if you have an ea81, just switching to ea82 rims will get you a wider footprint.
  4. i can get second gear rubber in fwd, or rwd. just an xt6 pp. stacked ontop of the ea81 disc. any clutch with a puck is very spensive.
  5. sounds expensive. i like metal, its cool... cant weld a cuttin board either. maybe it would be good for the ej offroadin croud, with the light offroad duty they pull... makes me want teflon sliders.
  6. ok, im sure you tried, but why are you writing up a "how to" after doing it once? you took too much stuff off of the car. leave the brakes alone. leave the ball joints alone. leave the sway bars alone. everyone follow the edrachs writeup, not this one.
  7. the word beast gets thrown around alot round here looks good
  8. wow, just saw the picture... good luck with that.
  9. did you make up the term cam slap? its nothing to do with a valve, it would start and run on three, or even two cylinders if everything else was correct.
  10. none of this will everhappen, especially considering nobody wants to spend more than 500 bucks on the whole car, much less thousands on gearing. another "what if" never gonna happen thread
  11. runing an xt6 clutch on an ea81 is alot of trouble. i would say just make sure you have the big one, 8 7/8 inch. my 8 7/8 ea81 clutch held the power of an xt6 engine offroad. the turbo kids are the ones that need super duper clutches, due to 4500 rpm clutch dumps, and full throttle boost shifting action! offorad isnt that bad on them, even with 29s!
  12. im just gonna say it cuz it looks alot cooler this way
  13. whats an x19? you need subaru parts to put discs on a subaru.
  14. learn how to do it, then wait till they break
  15. i wanna post this on pierat 4x4 so they can flame us all for having to carry guns, because we drive lesbian mobiles, and might get beat up by some gay guys ! lol
  16. any machine shop with a rotary table and someone who actualy knows how to use it can do this with no problem. i bet they dont want to do it. it will take them too long, and they cant realy charge you too much to do it. are they even shooting you a price? id guess around 250 bucks from a normal machine shop.
  17. dont make me post pics. i have 16 inches to the bottom of my unibody, at the middle of the door. i had 150 hp when subaru made my motor. i put 2.5 inch exhaust, on a "refreshed" 2.7 with other hp mods. i would guess 160 hp is very attainable. the ea81 came with something more like 65 hp another funny thing... i just looked at the tires on my motorcycle. it weighs 400 lbs. the tires say 500 lb on them. i aint runing something made for a 400 lb vehicle on a 2100 lb car! its as easy as that. atv tires=unsafe.... but then you have to drive the thing to actualy test anything out. put some miles on it, real offroad miles, and see how many sidewalls fail big brown hatch- runin truck tires 98 harleydavidson-runin tires that can support a passenger car(apparently)
  18. 80 would be cool, its more like 65
  19. how can you get a wrx motor for under 2k?
  20. thats too damn cold.
  21. were much too cheap of a group to have anything like this ever happen. lift kits are hard enough to sell...
  22. ya, note my post damnit
  23. a vented cap lets air in, not out. i would think its either normal. or your vent line goin to your canister, under the hood, is plugged, or not functioning correclyt.
