  1. thanks, that motor is now in a wagon and run about as good as it did on the floor. im blaming all the crappy fuel its been running on. im hopping all it needs is some fresh fuel and a tune up to last for it a bit
  2. im running 15's too, i just looked up a calculator for specific speeds, like when my spedo hits 75mph im really going 90mph i compared my 205/65/15's to 170/70/13 (i think thats a close enough size) http://home.netcom.com/~sgalaba/tiresize.htm
  3. so here the deal, i recycled a gl-10 sedan. i got the entire harness with no cut wires anywhere, and now have a running motor to put in my project wagon. once i had the wiring out i decided to have a little fun. i've never ran a motor just sitting on the floor so i tried and it worked. heres the pics the wagon waiting for a motor front fenders from the sedan for the wagon check out the meaty winter tires that came on the car heres the motor like the fuel system and heres the motor running
  4. that looks sick!
  5. thats crazy man, power series stuff makes some serious sound!
  6. sick dude, we're both runnin rockford fosgate p2's in the hatch
  7. well that is possible, but the 6x5.5 pattern has two lug holes line up so the redrilling is super easy. so its possible but it will be alot more work
  8. im not sure if dodge 6 lug is right, i think its dodge and ford that have 6x4.5" patterns you want 6x5.5". it'll be chevy/toyota/nissan that fit. anyways i was able to fit 15x8's with streched 205/65r15 tires, no lift with cut fenders. heres a pic of my re-drilled wheels ha get these puppies goin http://gainesville.craigslist.org/pts/656459785.html

  12. i've been wanting to do that too, more of a dune buggy thing though. i've got a fwd ea82t w/ wiring harness almost out of a car. i've been thinking about a mid engine rwd buggy, i'll post a drawing in a bit. this is the rough idea
  13. 1st try, thanks for the help
  14. wow, im an idiot. im gonna go finish it now thanks
  15. so i snapped a timing belt yesterday, and am having some real troubles getting the cams correctly aligned to the crank. i've been doing the routine of: -distributor side cam pin straight up -put the crank to the whatever degrees of the timing -put that sides belt in -turn the crank over once, so the cam opposite -put the non-distributor side cam pin straight up -put in the belt no luck please help, what am i doing wrong?
  16. those look big, are they 15's or 16's? anyways the total height on my 15's was around 25 or 26" and that needed a bit of trimming. only the front side of the front feners though. that size tire really fills the wheel wells. that things gonna look good man

for the duel setup i've always thought i could rig up another one in place of my a/c that i don't even use anymore. it seems like it'd be cheaper than an xt6 alt when remanufactured 60amp ones go for like $50 each on ebay.
