  1. OK Good news I took Ivans advice and picked up a ECU out at the yard and put it in and the Jeep started right up. Thaank you for your help.
  2. Ivan, thank you I will try that today. I found 3 ECU over at my local yard. I was thinking of going that direction but I also found that the security system could cause this same issue and with the doors locks and security not working I would change that out first.
  3. Ok I have an update on the Jeep, I rented the node tester and sure enough no pulse. So now I don't know where to look next. The next thing is the electric locks do not work on the vehicle either does any one know if the stock alarms on these Jeeps lock out the vehicle from running?
  4. Hey everybody, I want to pick some brains on what is causing a problem for a friends Jeep. First off it is a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.2L. What seems to be happening is his injectors are not firing. The vehicle has spark and I can keep it running by dribbling gas down the throttle body. I have checked for fuel pressure and I have 42 lbs at the rail. Does anyone have an idea of where I could start looking or what would kick the injectors to work. I am thinking of renting a node tester and just seeing if the injectors have pulse or not. Thanks for the help in advance.
  5. I have this same problem in my daughters 90 Legacy. It runs great with the fuse out and she is getting 26 mps so I just leave it out.
  6. Well, I have a new member to my family for Christmas. 86 BRAT. YEAH:banana: I will put some pictures up when I get a chance but I am glad to have an old suby again. Then I will drive it for a while and probably do a 2.2 swap in the future. Near future.
  7. Shawn, do you know anyone that has an ej 4" lift kit they are wanting to sell? I have a guy call me on one and he doesn't want to pay for Scott's. I told him Scott's is perfect and pay the money because I know it is done right. Anyways Thanks.

  8. Jerry, do you know anyone that has an EJ 4" lift kit they are selling?

  9. I know this is late but Greetings from Prescott. I just moved back to the area from Denver.
  10. I just picked up an 85 Brat with Dual Range 4wd and the Carburated 1.8 (EA81 or EA82). I'm thinking about an EJ22 swap and changing to a 5 Speed D/R 4wd Tranny. I have limited technical knowledge (more part replacer than mechanic) , but a strong desire to learn.

How hard would this be and approximately what kind of budget would I be looking at (just a Rough guess-timate) ?

  12. what r u on so late?

  13. If you have the top mount starter on the engine you have now you really don't have t change engines as much changing the bell housing. Subaru did make a bellhousing that fits a EA71 engine but gives you a offset starter.
  14. 4x4 it is a V-6 and it is the delivery rail right over the exhaust manifold toward the front of the car. Raveeen you said it cannot be repaired? I thought that it may come apart and be able to replace an o ring.
  15. Ok I usually don't like talking about anything but soobz but here I go. I am in AZ right now and my father in laws Caravan has a leak out of the delivery rail to the fuel injectors on the front side of the engine. My question is, how difficult is it to repair and what is involved. Thanks
