Its not till next september Thats my aunt and uncle who won the trophys and the money at the end. Its all for charity and tons of fun from what i hear.

Aparently theres this fun race here in desmoines and theyve held it for the past few years. Its this all for charaties event but theres prizes and its a whole day of fun. Im looking forward to my iowa suby buddies joining me for this. I know someone has a svx there itchin to bust out and im sure someone has a ski wagon they could bring. I know another guy has a shiny brat they could bust out. It cost 75 bucks to enter but its all day. Check out the youtube videos and the websight. Welcome to the board. I agree with the last poster. The last thing you want to do when runnin rally cross is put heavy bumpers on the thing. Not offroading is another thing. The factory bumpers are fine for mounting lights. On the power aspect as well again last poster hit it spot on. Although the engines are great for what these cars are ment for to do anyhthing else with them (upgrade them etc) is futile. Even the ea82 turbo which comes in these vehicles is lacking in aspects as well. If your just looking for something to play around in then i say do a couple upgrades and leave it be. Im looking into a suspension setup that you might find interesting for a lowering aspect. There are wheel upgrades but you either need to go pug for 4 lug or do the 6lug swap which is what i can see you doing. Now if you want serious rally ability then you need to swap engines, but thats a whole other bunch of bananas:banana: Oh and buy the way. THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICTURES

Maybe you fixed one problem to reveal another. Thats the way these cars are sometimes. I still havent gotten around to fixing mine, so i just deal with it. I dont have a fast idle though when its a cold start. Do you have this problem.

Im not talking about the ea82 motor because those arent powerhouses. Im wondering who has the most modded Ea82 series car, sedan, wagon, rx whatever. Moddified body and engine, drivetrain etc....

I concur with connie. If your want ing more power (not blistering power) go with the ej22 swap. Very popular and an easier to do swap. If you want to go freekin apes*it shoehorn in a svx motor, or an impreza motor. As brent put it to me this weeknd. These cars and there predacessors are basically legos.

I paid that for 4 wagon wheels with trim rings and center caps and almost brand new tires. I dont think you got taken but the guys on here are right. The longer you stay in the subie business the thriftier you are. Let me put it to you this way. Im working on getting my 2nd free subaru.

Welcome to the Obsession. Now for the bad news. You have what is called a problematic car. The engines in the turbo cars are notorious for having leaking head gaskets. The digital dashes are also notious to fail. Also the 3speedauto are pooches and fail often as well. But its a low mile car which is good. If you build that car then you can swap the auto for a 5 speed on this one and replace the head gaskets if necessary. As far as the dash goes, i dont know if you can fix it or just switch to analog. If you go the analog route i have a set of gauges for you.
