Yeah, the earlier models didn't even come with that u brace. Controls arms were under recall. It would be worth checking your vin number with the deaker and seeing if they've been replaced under the recall.

just get the parts you need, they're not hard to find and readily available, no need to try to do swaps you can't figure out:
www.car-part.com
are you sure it's not just benign surface rust and you're worrying about nothing?
us northeast people see cars rusting through with holes and failing parts yearly and a "u frame" is not something that typically rusts/fails. and if it did normally the car would have so many falling apart body panels it wouldn't command $4,000.
maybe it got salt on it then sat in a field of grass for years which is terrible for vehicles, but just making sure.
Can't say I agree with that. Those u shaped subframe braces rust out all the time, while the rest of the car isn't rusty. It's a very common replacement because of rust.

You can use sedan sway bars in a wagon no problem, I've done it many times. The control arms and front axles are different lengths, but the rest of the suspension is compatible. Pretty much any 02-07 Impreza interchanges.

It's been for sale for many months now. Price is way too high. I agree with Gloyale, it should have at least a very well done EJ22 swap to get anywhere near that kind of price, and it better be clean.

Not trying to say ADF isn’t worth it, but I’m in college so $130 is a lot to me.
I hear ya for sure

For $130..
You get what you pay for. But either way, like was said above, if it fits, it doesn't matter what it is.
-
Andersondesign-fab.com sells adjustable sway bar endlinks.
-
Also, full it through the dipstick tube.

+100 to what Gloyale said.

20mm would most likely be bolt on, as in they have their own studs, so they bolt onto your hub, and then the wheel bolts onto them. I've used them a lot, and had zero issues. Most people use 25mm, to make sure the length of the wheel studs clear the back of the wheel. Your wheels will sit close to flush, but won't poke, and with stock size tires, shouldn't rub at all.

So in your opinion, could the transmission harness be easily added to an existing ej swap harness? Could it just be tapped into the existing harness and have it work? The TCU harness can be thinned out just like an ECU.
The on;y issue is you must match the TCU type to the ECU type (i.e. OBD i or 2, and Proper Phase)
I assume Phase i here, but yeah obd i or II is key as the TPS signal will be shared between teh 2. Other than that the entire TCU setup is standalone, and pretty easy to thin as there is only the 2 plugs to the trans unlike engine which has tons of connectors.
PM me if you want to talk about getting one thinned down for yer car.

You'd just leave the tcu and transmission wiring intact in the donor harness. Would make the strip down take a bit longer, but not much more difficult.
My car already has an ej swap, so I would need to get another donor harness and do it all over again, I assume?

I'm more interested in how you make the 4eat electronics work. I want to run a 4eat in my lifted and ej swapped Loyale, but wiring is the only thing holding me back from doing it.

for your style, you're better off purchasing an entire lift kor from Andersondesign-fab.com. the forester struts are a bit too long to keep the axles happy on the newer ones. Either way, you'll need multi link spacers for the rear, which you can also find at that link.In reading all this about lifting an Impreza. I have a 2011 OBS, I'm looking at getting 2011 Forester struts and springs prob get 16" Forester wheels with the General Grabber tires. What's confusing me is what I need for the rear wheel relocation. I've seen mention of 97-99 outback trailing arm mounts, will these mount up to my '11? Would a better option be to do subframe spacers? Are the trailing arm mounts attached to the subframe? They kinda appear to be. Other than puttin on camber bolts and some sorta swaybar endlinks, are ther any other parts I need to consider? Thanks.

Anyone put in an aftermarket stereo?
(I answered one just like this someplace)
The magic smoke escaped the illumination controller. They usually die due to a short or a new stereo improperly installed. They sometimes go due to age.
You need to get to a junkyard befreo this guy does

I'm definitely interested. Please let me know!

Any chance of more of these being made?

96-99 Outback, or 98-08 Forester strut assemblies will directly bolt in and give roughly 2 inches of lift. If you want more than that, check out andersondesign-fab.com

What size lift are you installing? I can do them in a day no problem.
-
Keep up the good work bud, and I'll get those parts for you soon!

ADF offers trailing arm spacers as well, those are for cars with trailing arms. The multi link spacers are for the multi link rear suspension on 2000+ Legacy/Outback, 09+ Foresters, and 08+ Imprezas. Like your friends '13 Forester. And they're needed to keep the geometry at healthy angles. I know you probably know most of that anyway.

Yeah, that's an aftermarket axle.
