  1. It took the dealership two days but it's back. No white on start-up or after driving. No more smeel. I will keep a close eye on coolant cunsuption. SONA send a nicew follow up e-mail since I allerted them to the issue from my.subaru.com site. I think they even helped us get a '07 loaner from the stealership!
  2. It was the driver side HG and they are replacing under powertrain warr. How much work do they have to do to replace it?
  3. Anyone know a good Subaru dealer around Brewster, Ny that I should have here take it to to get looked at? What is our drivetrain warrenty on a '03?
  4. Well now it is leaking so bad it is driping on the ground from the drivers side rear of the engine but for the LIFE of me I can't find the leak source!!! It is out of warrenty now but my Mom got the 100,000 extended warrenty OR should his be covered under the drivetrain warrenty it has 43k on it now.
  5. New oil, all compressors that have sat for awhile need the oil replaced he should have done that the first time around??
  6. Thanks I will go by Autozone and see if they can help!
  7. Blitz I could REALLY use the TSB on this reflash?? It is now doing it at 30 MPH coasting then when SLIGHT gas is applied it hic-ups pretty bad!
  8. Buy some Plexus or Mothers Plastix it is FOR removing scratches and yellowing of plexiglass and clear plastics and protecting them!! It was orginaly for Avaiation industry.
  9. If you need a 7-pass you owe it to your self to BUY TH NEW RAV4. I would if I was in your shoes. the Hylander Hybrid AWD is the only thing that might do it one better!
  10. What do you say this, would not the improvements make the '99 the one to have??
  11. The manual exsplains it but, IF light ever comes on pull over as soon as posible and put the car in Park. DO NOT shut off let the fluid circulate for five minutes while in Park to cool the 4EAT.
  12. You car does have a two row cooler in the bottom of the stock rad, and a warning light that flashes AT temp if it gets hot. I would also switch to AAMCO semi-syn Dextron III ATF, or another semi-syn ATF.
  13. I called Haynes on this exact issue. I was told some month ago that there was no Haynes manual for the newer Roos. I have the up to '98 Legacy book for my previuos '98 L wagon. But now I am doing work on my Mom's '03 GT. The factory manulas are too much $$$ for my blood.:-\
  14. Would Radio Shack sell such a thing. a timer relay that could handle the current?
  15. No work done to the engine except spark plug replacement at all the GT sedan only has 40k and it is '03.
  16. So how do I test guys, please don't tell me try a new P/S pump!:-\
  17. Cool so the engine will adapt for regfuel just not produce as much power correct??
  18. What are you geting for MPG with a premium 93 Octane you have to put in the 3.0 H6??
  19. Anyone verify this?? Haynes does not have a diagram to go off of??
  20. Do you know where that internal pressure relif valve IS in the Roo's system??
  21. I would get a '98-'99 Legacy L wagon with the last gen. EJ22!! Tough motors and they can be found cheap with high miles on them. Sold mine at 130k for $3,750.
  22. You are quite correct but the sound in my Mom's '03 GT sedan is LOUDER when the wheel is being turned i.e. UNDER load. It can STILL can be heard whining (little less) when not under load, i.e. idling with steering wheel not being touched?:-\
