OK, now that it has to be replaced WHERE should I take it in the Brewster, NY Danbury, CT area? Last time I had TWO diff. guys come from a large chain to replace the glass in my '98 Legacy L wagon. Both times they, damaged interior trim pieced, mainly the A-pillar covers!! THEY ALSO CUT INTO THE HEAD LINER WHERE IT CAME NEAR THE GLASS, AND PUT WAYYYY TO MUCH SEALANT DOWN, IT SHOWED AS GLOBS INSIDE THE CABIN!! THE SECOND GUY WHO CAME TO REPAIR THE MISTAKES OF THE FIRST GUY BUTCHERED THE JOB EVEN WORSE!!

My Mom's '03 GT Sedan with the 4EAT is suppose to come with a LSD rear diff as well. I had the car on a up hill stop then tried to take off with one side of the drive way icy the other bear gravel. It pulled it self up the hill but VERY slowly with the front and rear tires on the ice spinning like crazy?? I did change the rear diff fluid with Mobil 1 full syn. but it said it had limited slip additive in it? Could it be TOO much Limited slip additive and not leting the LSD engage as well the factory fill??

Has any one with the factory heated windshield has structural cracking issues??? My Mom's '03 GT sedan with the heated windshield wiper area has developed what looks to be a structural crack? It is a hairline crack that starts UNDER the COWL cover at the bas of the windshield about 4" of the center of the windshield. It then passes through the heating matrix splits into TWO hair line cracks that then REJOIN after about 4" vertical, and then the crack makes a bend and travels horizontally for a FOOT!! Mom has heard NO popping and had no objects hit the windshield or let the wipers slap down. There is no sign of an impact either??

Yea, that is most likely going to be my best bet. There is a wrecking yard in Manchester, NH that has about 15 wrecked Roo's siting around. Can anyone tell me what years, models, and trim levels of cars Subaru OR NOT will have the 16" 5X100 bolt pattern wheels with the correct off-set and center bore?

Congrats!! Roo's are GREAT cars for New England! The early ('96-'99) gen. 1 EJ25 (aka 2.5 Liter) are prone to headgasket failure. You will want an independant Subaru mechanic in your area to check that for you. Is the car Automatic or 5-speed. Does it have matching tires all around? The group will need more info to help you out with particulars.

First off where are you located? First off Michelin WEAR like iron and hold up to abuse!! BUT the Radial X's I had a on a '98 Legacy L wagon had NO lateral snow grip!! I have a set of Kumho's on my '95 SAAB 9000 Aero 5-speed, 300 hp!! (205/55 R16) and they are GREAT in the dry for $55 tires! Have not had them in the snow yet. Rain they are OK, not fantastic. Just put a set of BFGoodrich Traction T/A's for my Mom's '03 GT sedan 205/55R16. Tirerack.com and EVERYONE HERE rates them good at everything but many have reported loss of 1-3 MPG!! Only $400 OUT THE DOOR!!! the Car handles MUCH better on the BFG's than the stock Potenza RE92's!!

fnlyfnd is in NYC, not many Subies there. A LOT of old domestic RWD Iron!! I know I grew up around NYC. Here in New Hampshire especialy near the VT and ME border are A LOT of Roos! CT, MA and Upstate NY have a fair amount. I would say Vermont and Maine have the most. Up here you have to get the Mid-90's+ years or the rust is BAD!! Out west you don't have as big a problem. There is a body shop/used car dealer in Keene, NH that ONLY sells used Subaru's and he has about 30 on the lot at any one time!!

My Mom is complaining that her '03 GT sedan with the automatic with the "sportshift" (what ever Subaru calls it) is not breaking 25 MPG even for extended highway runs. In the newwer 4EAT based AWD systems can I put the fuse to make it FWD to give her better MPG till snow flies? I know the GT is a F 40/60 R split ALL the time for a more perfomance feel, and it has the rear LSD. Will that set-up be damaged by running in FWD for awhile?
