The regular stop-a-leak stuff is real nasty and can clog coolant passages in the block. The SOA stuff is only $5 at my local Subaru Stealership. The service guy said it is not made to cure heatercore leaks but, it is basicly a stop-a-leak product that will not clog up the small coolant passages in Subaru engines!!

Adnan, it is a side note but the new Hummer H2 owners did NOT know the MPG on there prospective purchase. Do you know why, because of a goverment LOOP HOLE!! GM which now owns Hummer lobbyed Congress that they should not have to put the dismal MPG on the window sticker of there Hummer products because Hummers are COMMERCIAL VEHCILES, AND NOT SUBJECT TO THE SAME DISCLOSURE ON THERE WINDOW STICKERS!!! There weight at OVER 3 TONS also makes them exempt. By the way I know someone that has one 8 MPG on the highway 4 MPG around town!!!

I flushed and filled, changed screen and gasket on my '97 Legacy L Wagon EJ22, with 4EAT! I put AAMCO semi-syn. ATF in it. I belive it shifts firmer now but more predicatable!! It also goes ALLOT longer with out geting dark! It was only $2.99 a qt. at AutoZone. Joel Ive heard all about what Redline MT can do... so lets stick to ATF here. 1997 legacy 110,000k AT (obviously). it has always shifted a little hard and went for a long peroid of time with no ATF change, one done since then. i was wondering if anyone has any expierience with the ATF products vs there MT's? its coming into winter so with sub zero starts and all what can i expect as far as smoothing out shifts. thanx very much Charlie
