  2. this corner which is a blind one and snow I hit head on with a snow plow truck.. air bags went off.. I think they may total the car.. odd thing is my throttle pedal stuck to the floor after I hit..
  3. Lol yeah mm I was in a rush for dinner meeting
  4. i got it from ebay I ordered 2 more from the guy out of Florida they are 25x25x16
  5. haha at least I can see now when I open and close the door sometimes at night it was hard with the old bulb. I just made it with that heatsink as i just guessed the size I just to bend the fins inwards a little bit for it to fit. maplights will be next
  6. wow thats like nothing... lol I got 236K on my car and in about a week I should be at 237K I do about 30K a year.
  7. gasket seems to not fit over the pipe and yes it's a OEM gasket (44011AC000)
  8. you know what sucks.. is when the damn AC lines bind up.. my line from the dryer from the evaporator did that.. that little short pipe is like $96....
  9. the led's for the map lights when they come.. wont be as bright as the dome light but still about 3-7% brighter then the little bulbs that come with it.
  10. maybe I'm dreaming or my dome light switch is nuts.. but it never came on when I had it set to "on" but it will turn on when set to door.. bad connection maybe? lol my bad while typing this I see the On setting grounds to a ring terminal on the light switch lol.. pictures when I'm done (can't wait till night time)
  11. Ok while my map lights are not here yet the rest of the stuff for the dome light is and I took the dome light out but I see nothing running up to where the front map lights would be.. I see no way to get to them without having to remove the side A pillars to get the headliner down.
  12. yep that's what it's all about.
  13. wow I must of saw that wrong.. it's way faster to take the whole strut assembly out to change the struts.. you are wasting time and effort trying to do it while mounted on the car.. It took less then 5 min to unbolt the 3 nuts and bolts (air tools) don't forgot to mark the camber!!! top bolt
  14. map lights should be here around wed ready to bust out that dremel
  15. huh? the 3rd pin was unused for the models that did have a 3 pin connection. funny thing is the newer 90 A is about $10 cheaper then the stock 85 A.
  16. Well close.. but not really.. I had a hard time finding the pic but you can see it here http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/vehicle-pictures/2005/subaru/forester/2240-050-engine-480.jpg the large box in front of the throttle box. The air filter is where it's always at. the little "dildo thing" is nothing but a resonator tuned to keep any unwanted intake sounds down.
  17. it's a 95 it looks like I can use an alt from an '03 Forester that's rated for 90 amps? I'm not sure if my plug on my car is 2 wire or 3.. but guessing it's just 2 wire.
  18. Not at the moment.. i was curious what other higher rated alternators from other Subaru models would drop right in? anything higher then 85A? I do plan on putting in a sound system over the summer but nothing too crazy.. just a single 10" sub and 2 amps with new doors speakers.
  19. it's really easy only took me about 10 min per strut
  20. I was going to get the HF spring compressors until I saw about how many people had issues with them.. So I went to auto zone and got the OEM spring compressors.. well worth the cost and extra safety over the HF compressors. I felt safe enough to hit my compressors compressed with a hammer so they would slide into place.
  21. I just noticed they have 110 amp alternators at NAPA cheapest on NAPA was $150.88 +$60.50 core not lifetime
  22. I used to run my impreza almost like that but left the filter in the engine bay it was nice. Oh and to your other question about the car hesitating when you go WOT from a stand still.. Well think of it.. think of how much air now has to rush into the cylinders that's why most cars (I know my 98 forester had it) have a plenum think of it as like a storage box for air.. I can't find you any pictures but it sat right behind the TB and I think they said "Subaru" on it but it was just a empty box. Oh my 3-up star LED came.. I would of installed tonight but my heatsink has not come in yet.. sucks weather was very nice today 61 F but tomorrow it's going to be in the 30's
