it'll work you can also find alternate mounting points for it like the A pillar or even the top of the dash and it should have 3 spade connections in the back that are 4,6,and 8 cylinder and just place the wire onto the 4cyl spade that is going by memory here cause it has been like 6 years since I had a VDO tach and sure wish I pulled it when I sold my bug cause it was like 2 inches dia -
well for the security system if it will work with your vehichle since I don't know if it's compatable for cars outside the US and Canada here is the installation guide for it for your specific car and you will hafta have acrobat reader to open this http://www.subaruparts.com/guides/2001MY_68J_H4_Security_System_Installation_Instructions_rev_.pdf and you can get the parts at www.subaruparts.com

there are not many weakpoints on the 2.2 w/ manual tranny and the weakpoints are nominal and Titanium wheels? those would be way way way more expensive to manufacture and sell than the Aluminum Alloy Wheels and the Legs always had that as an option so you can prolly find some decent used ones at J/Y's or even Ebay or this board in fact

is this vehicle equiped with cruise control? if so then you had the wrong vac line hooked up to it so it would suck on that lil diaphram that controls the accelerator pedal and so it would rev to infinity and beyond -

yeah it should be more than 2 psi and also be at 12 volts power going to that pump so might try rewireing the fuelpump from another power source with the ignition on and see if that works and usualy it's good to see from 4psi to 6psi from the pump -

well if it's the stock Recirculating Valve (that is the exact name for this type of BOV cause it doesn't "Blow Off" but instead recirulates the air back into the system) might plumb the other end of the hose that comes off that RV and put it before the turbo so it doesn't screw up the MAF sensors working so it might not bog down as you have said and as Danbob has said might tap into a different vac source cause you might be gettin too much vac into the RV -
well I used to have a gen 2 Camry and know that it is a sweet car and all but the subaru is way easier to work on than the Legacy's will be even with the timing belt cause of the EJ-22 all you do it take the crank pulley off and any accy that will get in the way of the covers and just remove the covers and untension the tensioners and viola you have the belt off and just reverse of what you just did as with the Camry you first have to dismantle the suspension on the side that the belt is on and take the wheel well lining out, then remove the crankpulley, then take off the covers, then undo the tensioner, and then you pull off the belt and then you reverse the process and have to take the car to a alignment shop to realign the car cause of removing those suspension pieces so I for one don't like the Camry's much due to the fact that it's a lil bit harder to work on than any subie cause of the fact that everything is usualy right there where you can work on it on the Subies oh yeah and also good luck trying to find a Camry in a wagon and also even with a 5 speed cause of alot of people wanted the sedan more than the wagon and also they wanted the auto (very lazy people) than the 5 speed and oh yeha more V6's than I4's too unlike the subies which had more of a good mix between auto and 5speed and also there are alot of wagons out there too

what brand of BOV is it? if it's a aftermarket piece then there should be an adjustment screw on it to tighten the screw so it doesn't open up unless there is a major vac signal saying "hey he just dropped the throttle you should open up" but is getting that signal early cause of the screw is not tightened properly -

did you rejet the carb when you rebuilt it? cause it sounds like jetting and too much fuel to burn or not enough lol so might get that straight (I will be posting a question on jetting on the Webers right now) and possibly a higher output pump is prolly in order now too -
I wouldn't recommend replacing those rollpins with bolts and nuts cause of it adds more rotational mass and also vibration due to imbalance but for the balljoint part just unbolt that bolt on the knuckle that holds the joint in place and seperate it from there cause you don't need a press or anything for that

matrixops that is a good idea for the EA-71 and my EA-65 (in the 76) cause they are the same mounting dimensions as the EA-81 so might keep that in mind if you want to search for one that would work but yeah I will try rewireing the setup tomorrow with the leads for the antidiesel and choke together like I had it on my bug in fact lol -
