Carlisle show May 16-18 2008
I'm gonna get this started...if you are interested in comming to the show please feel free to post and discuss. If you are comming here to discuss why you aren't comming to the show this year save it. www.carlisleevents.com is where you get info and can register. YOU MUST REGISTER THAT YOU ARE WITH THE "ULTIMATE SUBARU CLUB" OR YOU WILL NOT GIVE OUR CLUB CREDIT FOR YOU BEING THERE. This is the one thing that I ask of you...register correctly and show up...everything else is up to you. Because I got fudged around last year with my deposit on the tent it has already been waved this year for our club. (your welcome) THIS MEANS THERE IS NO MINIMUM AS TO HOW MANY CARS WE NEED FOR OUR SHOW SPOT!!!!!!!!!! I will be there from friday morning till the end on sunday afternoon. All SUBARU's are welcome. No fords, porsches, toyotas will be on our spot this year. If it is there it better say subaru on the valve cover. Let me stress this again: ALL SUBARUS ARE WELCOME! (anything from fuji rabbits to tribecas are welcome...clean or dirty, showroom or rusty bring it on) Remember there will be no selling of vehicles on our show area. It is not my rules it is theirs but keep in mind that there is a proper place for that at the show. OK folks it is just over 3 months away...time to get busy on your beasts. GO!

subeman90 replied to gotoursfree's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXit won't. you need a manual computer cause I made this same mistake once... you just have to get the right one.

92 Legacy MT Cruise Control Install can't find harness ?
subeman90 replied to gotoursfree's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXbrake switch rigging: keep the 2 wire one hooked up and find the harness with the 4 wires in it. Look at the color of the wires and find the 2 wires in it that are not the same colors as the 2 wires in the 2 wire setup. Bridge them together with a small piece of wire and make sure the brake lights are not on. Now go drive the car. Make sure the brake light still go on when you use the brake and if I remember correctly this will make the system work. Get this: if you leave it this way it will work when you press the brakes to cancel the system...don't know why but it does. I did both of my former cars this way (I have never had a 4 wire switch) The clutch one I just cut the connector off and put the 2 wires together. You will lose the function of this switch but duh don't ever hit the clutch with the cruse on Let me know how you make out.

92 Legacy MT Cruise Control Install can't find harness ?
subeman90 replied to gotoursfree's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXare you sure that is a MT computer? take a pic of the front of it...it should say right on it.

92 Legacy MT Cruise Control Install can't find harness ?
subeman90 replied to gotoursfree's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXfind the clutch switch and hook the 2 wires together. it bypasses the switch (which you can leave it this way or just do it for testing purposes) and make sure you got the 4 wire brake switch cause if you are still using the 2 wire one it won't work. if it clicks worry about the other suff first then go back to the cruise computer. The harness for the 4 wire brake switch is real close to the 2 wire one...you just have to look for it (if you don't have the 4 wire switch you can work around that too...just let me know) I have done this 2x so I have been down your road before.

RE carlisle: the tent will already be covered for this year. I have the paperwork to support this. I will be there friday morning as soon as humanly possible. Connie: there is no problem showing the new impreza. There are other new cars there. I will be in the baja most likely. Also your personal issue could be put aside for the sake of having a good time with others. I believe Paul has done this for a few years in the past. Subaru360: Please, please, please bring a 360 to the show. Please!

05 OBS throttle positioner
subeman90 replied to flat4fan's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXtotally agree with Keith..it is not normal and I could make a grocery list of cars that didn't do that either like Keith did. This is the reason I bought the baja...cable throttle FTW!

Repair or replace?
subeman90 replied to SUBARU3's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXmy garage man swears by Lucas PS fluid. He uses it in the postal cars since the racks for them are so expensive and hard to come by.

what would you pay for a twin turbo legacy
even the boondocks here in PA are going to have to do emissions someday...if I was to do this it would have to be a 95 and older car. For some unknown reason i would love to have a 90 legacy sedan with 300hp hmmmm that 90 legacy blue color with 17" sti bbs wheels and the brakes to back it up a front lsd and a mild drop with coilovers and 3.90 gears for some top speed fun might be time to start scratching $$$$ together

what would you pay for a twin turbo legacy
but you have the bragging rights to say...I have a subaru twin turbo. WRX people have nothing on that one.

05 OBS throttle positioner
subeman90 replied to flat4fan's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI had one I got rid of cause of these issues...good luck and let us know what the dealer says. I for the life of me could never drive mine smoothly and they wrote it off as me not knowing how to drive stick (only 15 other cars before this one was stick though:rolleyes: )

'97 OBW The smell of burning wiring...rheostat location?
subeman90 replied to biglittledog's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXif something happened to that controler thingy on the kick panel i think i have on in the garage. I got it by mistake once...let me know if you need it.

what would you pay for a twin turbo legacy
here is an issue...are you going to do 1995 and older cars? Here where I live in PA a 96 has to pass an OBD2 test for emissions. Is there any way to get around this issue? I'd like to see some pics too if you have any to share...color me curious but I'm thinking single turbo in a LHD car. Any chance of using a gen 1 legacy? My baja has 4.44 gears (this is for that other guy in this thread) and it turns in the upper 3k range at 80 mph which sucks to me.
-
what would you pay for a twin turbo legacy
5k tops. Personally I wouldn't want a RHD car cause I think it is stupid. Engineer that twin turbo into a LHD car and make it work right and then you would have something. I personally don't like 4.44's either...I like fast more then I like quick and I hate hearing motors scream going down the highway at 80mph. just one persons opinion.
