ok so i have been hunting for front hubs incase changing the pads out doesent help. i'm trying to go new/reman but every one seems to be domb as rocks. hopefully the new pads i installed fix it though. on closer inspection the old pads were roasted and overly hard. they were only about 1/4 worn but $15 is no big if i dont have to yank the hub apart. if it doesent fix cone washers are next but still looking for reman/new hubs.... are cone washers available any place other than the dealer? schmucks cant figure it out, havent tried napa yet, aside from those 2 theres one local shop left

280 ZX T injectors in EA82T's ?
Niku-Sama replied to discopotato03's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
not all VG30E or VG30ET (300zx/maxima/pathfinder) engines had dual feed injectors. there is a TSB on some because they would like to catch on fire. the maxima i had had the TSB performed with side feeds in it but it was N/A. but its kinda 50/50 with top/side feed injectors on those cars. only thing i know is converting a L28E to side feed is a pain but generally well worth it. -

Niku-Sama replied to discopotato03's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
well standard 280zx injectors are the same used in the ea82t, if you were pushing more boost and required more fuel that would make sence but not as direct replacments with out any boost upping mods. i am sure with out extra boost your computer would have a hard time coping because you'd be running rich all the time -

Loyale Clutch quirk
Niku-Sama replied to hardtail_pride's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
i havent had any of these cars with a manual so i couldnt really say but if i cant get it aligned up and going right the first time i usually take it some place to have it aligned right. generally doesent cost much, costs more on FWD cars because of their setup but even FWD on these should be cheap because the transmission is in the same spot as RWD cars (no transverse crap) -
yeesh, i dont know about your problem but you say your looking for a legacy. one of those junk lots on the south end of riverside across from the big good will has a legacy wagon. its not pretty but they are a bit more robust i hear than an EA82, be warned though when i cruised the lot and took a look at it the tires were dangerously bald so either use it to work the price down or try to get him to toss some in on the deal. i wanna say XS car and truck but i dont think thats it. its the lot right next door to 4 seasons, they acually have some decent cars there but i remember that legacy being in the back corner, i cant remember if it was AWD or 2WD. Action U Pull off Vilas has 2 EA82 cars, ones a space wagon and another is a coupe, one of which still has a motor in it. be a good place to check for parts but watch for hornets!

speaking of wheels, some dude driving a brat packed full of crap was rolling on some alloys in the shape of wagon wheels, i've seen it a few times now so hopefully i can catch it with my camera.

did you follow the guide about lining up the dots on one side and then turning it over by the crank and installing the other side? -
well i bet selling the justy was to pay the bill, it was $150 and there was some assembly required
-
hasnt been any updates, i wonder if the car killed the OP. on an equally sadder note the justy forsale here i still cant get ahold of because they havent paid their phone bill.

Bent exhaust valve dropped guide
Niku-Sama replied to 2Loyale's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
with all the heating up and cooling off i would get the guide fixed right, it'll probally drop again and bend your new valve -
yay junk yard starter work! paid a little much for a junk yard starter but its still cheaper than a new or reman. when it fails it'll be up to some one else to fix

i dont know if it shares an engine, it doesent look like it but it might. some of the justys in other countries were the same as the geo metro we got here in the early 90's, suzuki something i cant remember the name. kinda a similar thing going on here with metros, rebranding of another car edit: is this you? http://subarujusty.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=memberjustys&action=display&thread=2760 -

90 i think, not too sure on that. i'm 6'6" and i fit well enough to drive and to bail out easily if needed, and yea they are a light weight car for the ammount of power they put down. a little more is always preferable, i wouldnt want much over 100Hp in something like that any way because it is so lite (and squishable) the one i am looking at i am thinkin had a carb problem and if its not fixable i'm probally going to convert it to a single side draft SU carb drom a early Datsun Z car, quick fab of a intake manifold from some pipes and flanges (cheap wirewelder can handle that) and strap it on and hook it up and tune it. but it could be a ok any way and something else -

yep, but look at those wells though, sure theyre big enough? also why not try one of those cau haulers from u-haul? kinda spendy at $40 a day here but its better than trying to push a dead card UP in top of something like a flat bed, besure to bring your straps edit: i forgot to say i havent found much on the oil pump other than it needs work on em like most subarus -

1st gens are usually carbed, 2nd are generally MPFI. 1st gens have square sealed beams and 2nd gens have halogen bulbs and plastic (i think) housings i'm looking at one too, i think its a 1st gen but the craigslist ad is cryptic. $100, i say go for it, they do not have a traditional type of waterpump though, i noticed it when researching. its recessed into the front of the case and has a cap on it with an impeller inside, kinda funky. to me it looks like half an H6 motor with a smaller bore and some funkyness on the front of the case, i havent seen much about blown head gaskets at all except they get old and blow some times. like what cars do after they get old. if you do a search on you tube you find alot of justy destruction vids, they seem to take alot of punishment, being burried for 6 years and startin up. that sort of thing. generally the ones blowing up on you tube take a long time at red line before they fail, almost as if they over heat and the heat causes the failure instead of internal strain of spinning at 9000 rpm i'm checkin one out too, $150, some assembly required, 4x4. i belive its an 88 but like i said before its a cryptic ad, 4x4 just means its for sure not an 87 (no 4x4 87 here) ECVT's are a mixed bag, its nice when they work but are finicky (like no moving when slightly low on fluid) and often arent a major part to replace to get em to work but are just a pain in the rump roast all arround from what i have read....incase you find an ECVT one -
i was just going to junk yard one thats why i was askin
