What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
Towed the XT6 today... First did 2WD... That was a very hard process and barely got the car moving... So we used 4LO and didnt really have any trouble. Ned was NOT a happy camper though, but a full tank of gas and a quart of oil seemed to say thanks... Here soon he gets the new motor and new clutch... then a 5 lug swap... hes gonna be fine

More space in GL sedan?
I havent had both cars in the driveway since I asked the question unfortunately, sister and I work opposing schedules

15" Pug Alloys - '92 Loyale 4x4
I had no issues front or back with my pugs on my EA82. I ran 195/60/15 tires I loved those... I could take corners that felt shakey at 60 at 85 and still feel stable.... They did great off-road too, though I didnt jump it, I did hit a bump offroad and made the rears rub... but I also have blown suspension on my car

Yea I can tell. Hes gonna be REALLY pissed when he finds out hes towing the XT6 over to my sisters haha. Its a little bit of the angle, plus my sister has a ton of stuff in the car... Im not exactly thrilled with her driving him I do have blown suspension... and a blown axle... been waiting for the XT6 so I could do 5 lug and get the suspension I want and 5 lug etc

More space in GL sedan?
I'm not a good welder anymore lol. News on the rear seats anyone?

More space in GL sedan?
Reviving this old thread? Cant be too bad since its mine right? Do XT6 rear seats fit in a GL... I got an 88 XT6 parts car I want to put the front seats in Ned, and the rear seats too, since I already have grey seats in a blue interior, I dont wanna mismatch EA82 rears, with XT6 fronts with a blue interior haha.

'91 Loyale overheating
Would be a good idea to flush the radiator, and just for good measure put in an OEM thermostat (even if yours is OEM) and probably replace the hoses... you should be okay but if you arent careful, the overheating could blow your HG and warp the heads.... Do you have a secondary car you can use by chance?

Made some introductions today. "Ned, meet the XT6. She has no name because I wont be keeping her after I get the parts for you off of her... Dont be jealous and continue running great please" Not sure if he believes me, had a "rev up and die" episode 2 hours after the introductions... finicky little car.

Water on the passenger floorboard...
I dont have A/C but my sister uses the heater and defroster... This "maybe" will tie into my other problem... The car dies randomly... It like, sucks excess air into the air filter and dies... because I hear it suck the air loudly as it dies, but it ONLY does it when its not warmed up over the 2nd line on the temp gauge when the defroster/heater is on....

Water on the passenger floorboard...
I dont SEE it leaking unfortunately, I just get to hear about the puddle on the floor and when I saw it I was like, whoa thats not just from someones wet feet... guess Ill crawl under there with a flashlight... PLEASE NO RUST

Water on the passenger floorboard...
The passenger side floorboard has a decent amount of water on it... and its been raining quite a bit... so that has to be related somehow... Had a few ideas: -Windshield seal leaking? - Could I source one or just replace the windshield and get a new gasket installed too? I dont have any cracks that I know of. -Heater core busted? - This is hopefully not the case. Anything else? - Just appears to be on the passenger floorboard. Car is a 1986 Subaru GL Sedan (EA82)

ea 82 over cooling!?
Its up to you, but in terms of motors, I wouldnt skimp out. Order one from 1stsubaruparts.com or one of the other OEM subaru internet stores, Im sure theres more Im not mentioning. Maybe theres a STANT thermostat for the DL? - http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=128919 Heres one for $10.35 plus shipping (or order more than $25 lol) http://www.amazon.com/Stant-45859-SuperStat-Thermostat-Fahrenheit/dp/B000C823WI/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1354099187&sr=1-2&ymm=1988%3Asubaru%3Adl&keywords=STANT+thermostat+1988+subaru+dl Just go with OEM.. sure maybe you make the woman happy, but what if it fails, overheats and goes kaboom... then its walkin in the cold, no bueno.

When do you shift your EA82 5 Speed?
YUPP I love my little EA82. Needs a new motor, but Ive taken on some pretty rough drives and hard shifts for the last 20K on a bad HG and the motor still is hanging on... having weber carb issues at the moment though...

GL10 Mud Flaps
BOOM Performance parts for the EA82

When do you shift your EA82 5 Speed?
At idle Ned can compete with a WRX. At full RPMs hes a lot louder than most of the WRXs I see. I swear my car is special as its the fastest EA82 Ive every driven, and Ive driven 10+

Retro GL-10 TURBO build
I was shocked to find out that some rally cars use the 4X140 pattern... My ex showed me a picture on her phone, of a rally wheel... it was most definitely a 4X140 BBS!

$200 winter car has turned into an obsession.
Looking awesome!!! Im pretty stoked to see it this weekend. Wish Ned was coming up, but alas, Ned needs work before he tows an XT6. Keep the pics coming and a few videos would be awesome, there arent many videos of EJ swapped EAs on youtube which makes for boring searches.

When do you shift your EA82 5 Speed?
I noticed that on my Dads 90 Legacy... it seems to cut him off around 6500 rpms, I thought he was doing it but seems it has a rev limiter?
-
When do you shift your EA82 5 Speed?
I have a weber on my EA82... so maybe thats it... I swear my GL is faster than my Loyale every was... Err, maybe I should say, on MY butt-dyno, my Loyale wasnt as powerful as my 86 GL with a Weber is.

1988 dl
I wasnt a fan of my 85 DL's dual beams haha... I always wanted the Loyale ones... So we sold the 85 DL and got a 92 Loyale hahaha.
