  1. Great, thank you much. Check will be in tomorrow's mail with all the title stuff... Andrew
  2. I'm thinking I can probably wait until spring on the FF1. I'm also considering driving the '75 back since I'm probably going back to Wyoming in the near future anyway. I'm not risking shipping w/o insurance unless I go the UHaul route and do it myself. These cars are too unique for that.
  3. Nah, this one's a shipper. The cheaper the better--Matt's been running quotes for me and the least expensive is $1750 for just the FF1. Sure, c'mon up and see it sometime (once it gets here). I won't be going cross-country again 'til this summer at least.
  4. Are you offering Michelle's Wrangler as a tow car? This is to be determined, Paul and I are working that out now. But you'll be one of the first to know.
  5. I have to say I seriously thought about a "name change" when we came over from the old EZBoard 2.5 years ago--even then the XTs and 3-doors outnumbered the wagons. (back to about even now, though)
  6. Jon, thought you were going to buy it on those pics alone too? If you have more, please post!! The seller said it had a 1200 engine in it. The only Subaru 1200 engine that I know of this side of the pond was missing a cylinder...I think it's an EA62 1300cc, which *was* available in the FF1 and the first Leones in late '71/early '72. And yes, I overpaid a litte--but it has no rust, and for the amount of time I've been looking (and the next cheapest alternative more than four times that with shipping from Down Under and the steering wheel on the wrong side to boot) it's worth it to me. Perhaps not to anyone else, but I'll live.
  7. Yup, you, Matt & Paul are all on the list for pics Since I'm on dialup I'm waiting to get addresses so I only have to send once. (What I don't have is your phone #, lost it last time I drowned my cell.)
  8. Jon, what happened to calling dibs on anything pre-'74? Jack, you have mail, just need to see if I can get the time off to drive her home.
  9. Steve, I have pics, send me your email address and I'll get 'em to you. Anyone else please do the same. EMAIL me (aparker4.mac.com@earthlink.net) PLEASE. (don't have time to go through my PM inbox right now and it's getting pretty full.) And yes, Brian is taking your old 360. Too many Subies, too little time, and I want to concentrate on the ones I won't be able to replace later. No offense, but there are lots of 360 sedans out there...you know that.
  10. The mats I offered Matt were the new style Impreza ones (out of an '05 OBS, but the guy that took delivery didn't want them so I got them free with my '73)
  11. I was fortunate enough to see that fine piece of timber in person this afternoon, and I must say I was impressed. Next time I get a Subaru old enough to have a wooden frame I'm going to Paul's for the termite repair.
  12. I gotsa couplea 360s, Jon Yes, this needs a ride east. If you could give me a call (Brian) we can hopefully work something out?? Thanks, Andrew Edit: Jon, what's up with the '78/9 4WD you were getting?
  13. Actually I don't really like Dunkin Donuts. Couple times a year for both Dunkin and Krispy Kreme. I love Starbucks coffee but not the price tag, so that's also a couple times a year only (and yes, it is yuppie infested--I do drive-through only). I'm partial to the "Whole Donut" chain (small franchise business out of the Hartford/Springfield area) and the Donut Dip (independent in West Springfield).
  14. Welcome! And sorry, but I have to ask...what became of the GL-10? Andrew
  15. I will hopefully be there in a '73 wagon and a '94 Justy.
  16. Go to the store locator web page, the franchise info link is on the left hand column. Oh, and move to Medford, MA. They need a couple more :-)
  17. From what I was able to get out of the previous owner, it was a leased car in a fleet that was returned, and then the dealer had it converted by the coachbuilder that did the conversions after it had been returned to SoA and auctioned. As for the Cavaliers, they were from the factory--GM has this lovely habit of churning out mountains of garbage at every turn, so can't put much stock in that. But all other Subie convertibles I've seen have been at least GLs or GLFs. (Couple of GL-10s and Turbo Tractions, too.)
  18. It still astounds me that someone made a used 4-speed fwd stripped vinyl-seats DL...into a convertible.
  19. A sedan door should be the same (and they also came in Sonic Yellow)...sorry to hear about that
  20. They sure do--half the RPMs and a third the gas mileage (and one tenth the smileage)
  21. Gee Matt, I wonder who that was? :-p Congrats on your new purchase.
  22. The turbo coupes are pretty rare. There was that 4wd convertible turbo on ebay this past summer; Turbone had one and a couple other board members have had or do have them. All in all fairly difficult to find. Definitely grab one if you can find one.
  23. OK...check this out: https://www.dunkindonuts.com/aboutus/store/Search.aspx It's the official Dunkin' Donuts store finder. 67 stores within 20 miles of my ZIP code (not counting Hartford or Springfield). 163 locations within 20 miles of Salem's ZIP code, including 10 in Salem itself. THREE HUNDRED FOURTEEN locations within 20 miles of Medford (for those of you not "in-the-know", this is where Dunkin' was founded). Ouch! I'm getting a caffeine headache just thinking about it...
  24. As compared to WJM's GL-10? Yeah, according to him. That's why he got rid of his Imp. I'd take a GL-10 wagon over a new STi any day, and I have driven both.Maybe if I was a rally racer I'd reconsider...then again maybe not. And even if we all did, there are some of us who love the styling, handling, layout, look, feel, interface, simplicity, and technical beauty of their EA82s.
