rear spoiler for an EA81...anyone ever try one of these?
yea it's a weird material. Looks cool though

Loyale Windshield Fluid Pump Location (front)
Mine seized. I got it going again, but it never had very much power afterwards. One from a JY was about $5. You can get the pump out of the bottle without removing the bottle. Just remove the splash guard. If want to remove the bottle it's just 3 10mm nuts under the hood and the bottle drops out.

rear spoiler for an EA81...anyone ever try one of these?
I have something that looks like that on my 89GL. It was there when I bought it from braman. No idea where he got it, supposedly a rare suby part. Dunno. Here's a pic.

I call those computers hard drive killers... I have tons of fans over my drives. All free, mostly crap, so redundancy is a must. Hey, this has nothing to do with subarus!! haha

That's why I have a few multi-TB RAIDs that I keep synced...

D/R questions - latest years and models?
Because the US got shafted on good stuff. Other countries didn't. But you probably didn't the legacy till later. Every country gets different stuff.

Do you rotate them? Is your alignment off?

Adjust timing on ea81 swap.
wicked good point there!

Adjust timing on ea81 swap.
Awesome! Thanks. Does anyone know the diameter of the ea82 flywheel? Then I can figure out the circumference of the flywheel, and how many mm per degree. Or if someone has the info that would be cool too.

Adjust timing on ea81 swap.
I'm wondering how to adjust the timing on my car 89GL. It has an ea81 swapped into the stock SPFI. Using the ea82 disty and ea82 flywheel. Since it has the ea82 flywheel it doesn't have the right timing marks. I have no idea how it was set originally since I wasn't the one who swapped it. I has this really funky retaining system too... anyway, I'm not sure the timing is correct and would like to check/adjust so I can get the best mileage/power etc. Thanks for help!

Whats broke on your subaru lately.
The muffler just fell off my Legacy. About it for now though...

Show off your roos Mileage!
No tach, cruise, not sure if they had AC, still putting the 1.8 in cars up to 97... etc. I think it was just a way to get rid of new outdated parts. But who knows...

Show off your roos Mileage!
A brighton is just a more base model than the L model. They had the impreza brighton and a legacy brighton. I'm pretty sure the impreza never came with that wing unless it was an RS, and the front bumper may be swapped too.

got me stumped
The flooring it after half an hour thing sounds like a leaky injector as suggested. I'd run some injector cleaner through it. Or just replace the injector. They're pretty cheap from a yard.

It isn't connected to the rear brakes the same though. There's a special drum brake that is only for the e-brake. Unlike on EA cars how it actually actuates the front disc brake. Which makes tons of sense and actually makes the e-brake useful.

loyale mystery switch
You must have a DL then? Every loyale I've seen has all the gauges.

That's just the drum brakes for the e-brake, correct? It's still disk brakes for stopping.

Rust blatantly sucks. No other way to describe it. I've spent so much damned time beating on things because they're rusted all to hell...

Denver mad scientists - transmission lab: Lab ingredients/forumula FOUND!
Maybe there's something wrong with my legacy, but if one wheel looses 100% traction the other wheels don't get enough power to move the car up a hill, or out of snow, etc. It just sits there and that wheel spins. A cusco would be nice...

Why must the viscus center be used with the 4.11 gearing? I've found that the viscus diff in my legacy is completely pathetic and wouldn't want it offroad.

97 subaru impreza outback sport lift
^^ use your imagination .... nobody ever said it had to move with said lift

blinkers stay on.
fixed. Of course the locations of the pins on the ea81 wheel aren't the same as on the ea82... So a little bit of drill press later and all fixed.

97 subaru impreza outback sport lift
So does that mean putting my car on jack stands is a lift because I'm increasing ground clearance?

loyale mystery switch
The way that switch works is idiotic. If it breaks, your lights won't work at all. It's a 3-poll switch. It transfers power going to the lights coming from the ignition to coming from the battery. Unlike the legacy it doesn't ADD power from the battery. So for some reason when you flip the switch it isn't getting power on the other poll to keep the lights on when the ignition is off.
