Back to the old school. 01 EJ swap lovin.
ha, excellent! im most of the way thru my wiring harness at the moment in my obd2 fun, with a nice pile of wire on the floor. for the wiring harness... did you keep the OP connector.. whatever that does? and the check connector? also in regards to the ea2ej swap.. how closely does that 'schematic' in there relate to the obd2 setup. it seems to me like it is pretty much same cept the pins on the ecu to tap to would be different?

thanks man, i was just about to search for that writeup to find what year to look for! i dont necessarily need any more lift, because if i do i'll have to add the cross memeber blocks and all that stuff that comes with it.. well.. i guess another inch wouldnt be the end of the world..

I'm curious tho.. how come you cant go get it? but you can drive farther to pick it up? will the guy hold the car for you if you put something down on it? just seems silly to drive an extra 2-3 hours out of the way to pick it up. thats all. I'd rather not do it, only for the fact that if there is something seriously wrong with it that i miss, then id feel like a *************** that you spent that money on it and got ************ed. EDIT.. really? they censor out C H 0 D E

Tempo Front Springs...
Hey All, so has anyone ACTUALLY DONE the tempo springs up front as a replacement for saggy springs? i've searched and can only find mention of the possiblity. but i wanna hear from someone who has actually done it. be it.. at stock size, cut them down to not get lift etc. i need to replace my drivers front spring (at minimum), and was gonna do both fronts if i did the tempo springs. i got a quote for custom springs from some place of $425 to which i nearly crapped my pants. love to hear some notes about that. or if anyone knows where i can get some springs thatd be super.

well when a new outback costs almost as much as a lexus, you can get a buyer to look your way if they are looking at that type of styling where they may not have otherwise. im not saying i like the new stuff. too big and too much chrome for me.:-\

i like how the don miller meet says vintage is any subaru older than 10 yrs. at that rate.. our outback could have won it. i wouldnt have. but it qualified.

LOL. sorry about that, the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. it probably says check engine on it, my cars a 92, the light is on the right side of the indicators that run along the area under the gauges. i dont know exactly where it is on the 86. if its on, you'd probably know.
