I might be getting a 2000 2.5RS sedan this weekend, if it happens I will likely have another set, I will likely not NEED all 8...... Thank you very much.... I took the rack off too, looks good, and is quieter going down the fwy....

FINALLY!! found the one I've been looking for.
Drove it home today! WOOHOO!! Almost hard to believe it myself. Still a few bugs to work out, but all in all it feels very good. I have to figure out another o2 sensor, and get it installed, and figure out how to get it through emissions testing to get tags on it... It is far from being DONE, but is ON THE ROAD, which is badass..... It is a bone stock EJ22 for now, it does have an 11 lb ACT flywheel, and it revs very fast. I will have a good butt dyno comparison when I eventually get the Frankenmotor back in with the deltas etc.....

Smiley..........
Ya this is gonna be good... I think (read: am not sure) that the heads will actually be close to being above the frame rails based on the elevation of the trans etc..... On another note alltogether, I think my FJ80 needs a 3.3 and a manual tranny, I am SURE they would fit under the hood of that thing. Realistically it will have a diesel in it before I put a boxer in it though.....

FINALLY!! found the one I've been looking for.
Super long story... Super short version..... The Frankenmotor burns oil, no bueno. It has been replaced with a STOCK 2.2 to get the car on the road while the issues with the 2.5 hybrid are sorted. I am hoping to be picking the car up on Sunday.... My fingers are crossed. This thing is really past due on all fronts..... If it makes it to 2013 before it is on the road it will have spanned 3 year ranges..... I started this damned project in early summer of 2011....... Life can really get a hold of us sometimes....

FINALLY!! found the one I've been looking for.
Went and visited Rick's shop today. Tinkered a lil w/the car a lil, fixed a couple exhaust issues, installed a MAP sensor, and most importantly.... DROVE IT!!!! Thing drives nice! Power is there thats for sure. I really miss that car. There are a few things that need attention but it should be on the road in the next couple weeks, I'm hopeful.

EA81 vs EA82 struts
Pretty sure ea82 struts are a larger diameter where they need to fit into the knuckle.... I think they will fit but you have to open up the hole some....

FINALLY!! found the one I've been looking for.
I put coilover sleeves over the stock struts. It is actually still on the same sleeves. I pulled them off a Honda Civic HB @ the local Pick & Pull, they are Skunk2 brand..... I will install the "real" coilovers after I get the car back on the road. It actually handles quite well on the sleeves. I imagine it will handle fantastic on the real deal.....

I think lockers are great, and also somewhat overrated on these things. I wish I had them too but with as heavy as they are, it takes a LOT to even get in a situation where one tire is off the ground enough to be "stuck". IF I get to a situation where I end up re-gearing, I'll probly put an auto locker in the rear, maybe..... I dunno..... So far I'm really liking the heck outta mine! I've got most of the necessary stuff to completely de-smog it, which I gueass will help with the idle and lower RPM smoothness. It really is a tank.... You can literally cruise the land in these things haha..... :-p

2nd gen brat aluminum bumper build what do ya think?
Maybe leave the center section the full 7", and then taper down to 3" or 4" by the time you get around the corner and meet the fender. You'd lose the flange of the channel, but you could always weld a piece in to reinforce the edges that ended up flangeless.... Then you're hiding the winch and streamlining into the body.... Food for thought....

2nd gen brat aluminum bumper build what do ya think?
Honestly I would go for 4". Just my opinion, but hey, you did ask! I think the 6" looks a lil un-proportionate. $0.02 Spencer Edit: I dunno, looking again, it's not WAY out of proportion. Tough call. It'll look better after you radius the corners etc. I'd still probly wanna do one in 4".
