  1. Dude.... Search, and re-search.... And do some research..... (cool story bro-earch) In short, YES.....
  2. Not everybody loves the same things. There's an a$$ made for every saddle.
  3. Everything you want to know is in this thread..... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=124158&highlight=talk+harness Nutshell version is, yes OBDII, avoid 1995, use 1996-99....
  4. After you're proficient it takes less than 30 min..... 1. Pull cotter pin and loosen axle nut. Also, loosen lugnuts. 2. Jack and safely support car, remove wheel/tire. 3. Drive out roll pin on DOJ (end of axle @ trans). 4. Remove caliper and hang from spring w/ wire or similar. Remove axle nut, cone and flat washers, and pull off hub/rotor assembly. 5. Separate knuckle from control arm, turn steering wheel towards direction of axle being removed. 6. Pull DOJ end off trans and let it hang down. Turn steering wheel back to center. 7. Drive axle through knuckle with a dead blow hammer. Now it's out, hopefully you can do the install since you accomplished the removal. Inspect everything real good (seals, bearings, etc.) If you have any more questions, consult the USRM and use the SEARCH function.... Spencer
  5. Ummmm just my opinion, but thats stupid..... And, how often have you "needed a spare?!"
  6. Yep yep.... That could constitute a not good outcome......
  7. Ummmm 2 sets of I/M gaskets?? One set for single port and the other for multi!?
  8. Hakka's FTW, I have some for sale in that forum, don't get caught without them!
  9. What are pancake tires?
  10. obk25xt replied to Skylar's topic in Off Road
Nope Correct. You will have to enlarge one of the two holes that bolt the rod to the control arm. But that's no biggie.

No..... BUT! You can extend your radius rods 1.25" to 1.5", this will help with clearance at the rear of the fender while turning. Also, look into folding the front of the fender up. I did that on my big wagon and it helped tons.... I happen to have some extra radius rods on the shelf. I'll see if I still have any of the right tubing to make a set.....
  12. ^^^^^ Car looks sweet! Needs more low..... This pic is from last year when I still had my lifted wagon.......
  13. I usually don't use a torque wrench. Just give em the ol' good n' snug. I have however used a torque wrench on some aluminum lugnuts, I think I set it somewhere in the mid to upper 60's....
  14. Sounds to me like either the tires are different sizes, or something along those lines. You're driving in a straight line while attempting to get back to fwd I'm assuming, right?? Maybe some sort of issue with the linkage?
  15. Ya, 22RE! (swapped), there's a thread on here about it in the non-soob offroad. I'll be updating it as I progress. I've read your whole thread and really admire your work with this rig. It's the "closest" I've been to one of these now (thanks for the pics!), and pretty much my mind is made up about owning one. Just a matter of when I suppose.
  16. That's very reasonable for what you've got. I have almost that into my 84 single cab pickup and I think your rig is cooler.......
  17. I like that rig very much... So much in fact that I'm actually going to start the hunt sometime after my Loyale project is done. Curiosity, ballpark how much are you into this thing?? Spencer
  18. Pics or it doesn't exist!!!! :-p
  19. Pretty much you don't, it's kinda key in modifications such as this....
  20. Sorry, double neg. So that's means that you do think it's out of the Q?
  21. I don't wanna say it's never gonna work, but you probly won't even be within 60 hp of your goal. Do a lil' research on the topic. Just sayin..... Spencer
  22. I bought 4cyl lockers, and they don't work with the V6 thirds..... I re-geared the truck, that was a good decision. Currently it's open f/r, I think I'm gonna just spool the rear and run the front open. Picked up some 63" springs today. Have a LARGE pile of parts ready to go on this thing, hope to get some of it done soon.
  23. Yes, you'll have to also remove the rear axles, and rear section of the driveline (from the carrier bearing back).
