  1. NoahDl88, which ones do u have? the green nippled ones or the actual purge solenoid valve?
  2. ok i remember i broke that one before and had trouble gettin in and outta 4wd.. note only 1 is broken... So would having a broken purge control solenoid not allow my car to start? btw; thx calebz for the answer.
  3. oops.. forgot the link like a *******. http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo01
  4. Well.. in the link im gonna give you guys theres two problems: i broke a purge control solenoid (located right next to the thermostat on my ea82) and i dont even know what the hell these are (green nipples) but the one that is broken goes down to that big canister (PCV?) thats near the transaxle on the drivers side. Can anyone give me a heads up to what the hell these do to my car if left broken? First off my car aint runnin anymore, so thats one i figured myself. What are these gonna cost me? Any other opinions u guys have for this kind of situation? BTW: i got her home via duct tape. she aint leaving that way.
  5. Umm yeh.. upon more thinking.. Nitrous AND fuel tanks in the back of a wagon WILL be a problem plus tool boxes and cb's and all kinda crap. Thats like the Hindenburg only in a subaru. :-\
  6. This is easy as hell for me to answer.. considering I ran one of the taller tires on usmb of 235/75R15 (30x9.00R15) 155/80R13 kicks rump roast for peeling out and making your BRAT (what i had it on) look alot more powerful.. 155/80's can take you offroad just fine also. 165/80R13.. u can now tell the instant difference between 155 and 165 155 was a funner tire than 165. 175/80R13.. this is right about where u wanna be. 185/80R13.. this is right about where u wanna be. 195/80R13.. big and dopey (for stock).. still work ok 205/70R14.. This is where you have to start to be critical.. this size and larger wheels/tires will result in gear loss. 215/70R15.. These are like pulling a small vehicle behind your wagon, like a waaaay light hatch. You can definately feel the loss in gear now. Its almost gone. 225/70-80R14-15.. never ran these. 235/75R15!.. your gearing is 95% gone. Horsepower is lost. Bearly tolerable. Going back to 205/70R15 if possible. Btw: O/D on these tires were 30x9.00R15 .. waay bigger than my stock 165/80R13's. (22x6.5R13?) Ok.. btw, i had SINGLE RANGE PUSH BUTTON 4WD! im sure D/R would have ALOT easier of a time. With the 235's on, it was HARD to get moving around, alot of clutch work. Another note: S/R = 1:1 gear ratio D/R = 1.4:1 ... so hassey and someone else with 31x10.50R15 tires have like no gearing so their rigs are pretty much gutless. With enough said.. you will notice alot EVERY time you move a section width to a wider one. Also, I ran EVERY size up there. IMO: 205/70R14 would be the best for our subarus S/R or D/R. (when offroading) Sorry i just posted so freekin much.
  7. You guys bitch too much about prices sometimes... 60 bucks aint bad at all considering new 18's for an import racer are 200/ea but.... we are talking about "offroad modifications" here... to bend a rim at that price would really suck. Ill stick with the rims i got and my math. Im sure between Edrach and SubaruJunkie they can offer better prices for the pugs?
  8. the only person ive seen on the board with aftermarket fuel tank is subarubrat, so subarubrat... i hope your reading this anyway... i was looking at my loyale and noticed i can shave off about 3" of approach angle if i were to move the fuel tank inside the car.. (and a little bit more for the rear bumper if i made it smaller?.. but ill worry about that one later) anway! anyone know what this would consist of before i dive into it and move the tank into the holding area of my loyale? What about fumes or smoking.. would i still be able to smoke while going down the trail if i had a fuel tank in the car? What would i have to move other than the fuel tank itself...which hoses would need to be re-routed or what regulators (fuel pressure regulator?) would have to be moved? any advice on weather or not to do this would be great! thanks guys Jonathan.
  9. It was nice to meet others from here. Both of ya guys are pretty cool.
  10. i would like to say that again, guns would freekin kick rump roast!
  11. 10-4... ill put my number in yer pm box northguy.
  12. saturday @ noon is good for me too... as long as someone wants to hook it up with a ride.. northguy maybe because he's closer? i dunno... but this is a start.
  13. I havent run the 27's... but I did run 30x9.00R15 tires w/toyota redrills.. that sucked rump roast :boohoo: the gearing was completely gone. 27's should be fine. 26's would rule.
  14. also... it was inbetween 65,000 and 86,040 miles (86,040... last milage recorded before he 'Ru2' died)
  15. definately the o2...just change it, its as simple as changing ONE spark plug. My 2000 did the same thing. Hard driving turns it off (detects more oxygen?) and easy driving turns it on. 2 day intervals were about right..
  16. Whats up guys, Theres a post for you guys in "meet/greet other USMB members" forum. Please check it out. http://usmb.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5823
