I know the biggest you can run on a 13" rim is 195/80R13. Not sure about a 14" pug. BTW: bushbasher... our mail system works $%^ fine.

Thermostat question
incognito replied to MaroonDuneDoom's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Ok... so how about some opinions on this: what if you had a thermo stuck open on you... my car never gets warm its about an 1/4 inch shy on the temperature gauge of what it used to be...... but i like the 1100 RPM idle that it has.. (warm up cycle kicked down basically) any problems as far as over-cooling? im concerned before i go out and change mine. Like i said, i like the 1100 RPM idle with my big AEM intake. I can let my clutch out and roll with 30" tires.. soon as i give it gas.. its play time. -
now that it's cold my car wont start
incognito replied to the sucker king's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Yeh even mine starts in -20.... i dunno why single digits would be a problem. Get a damn good battery (i always run 1000+ CCA) and keep the motor turnin... It'll fire... -
good lookin camo.. I think Arctic camo is more my type.. in due time... in due time..

btw: EA82 lift to Alaska was $400 bones... I had to spend about $50 extra dollars for extra bolts, lockwashers, washers, and nuts. took about 8 hours with help from a friend who's not too mechanically inclined. I used hand tools as well. And as you see in my signature, PKDavis is 'da man.

Tip: Dont do drugs when installing a subaru lift kit.

weber doesn't like the cold?
incognito replied to Snowman's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
the real nightmare to winter is the plastic and rubber hoses where they connect.. manipulating them sometimes causes them to crack. Just like I did with my current problem. Pics of that in my usmb photo album. But worse of all, its not the first time I've had problems in the winter. Cold is a bitch, but a block heater RULES! since u park at uaa anyway, plug that sucker in! -
Welcome to the board, Just make sure to steer clear of Mine and MilesFox's drama! Oh yeh, and be nice to the moderators Right mods? Other than that... be ready, theres thousands of subaru nuts on this board...

HOW.. i repeat HOW did i break this?
incognito replied to incognito's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo01 BTW: Noah, before u go doin anything, make sure its these two items. I believe I can explain; that purge control sylenoid? has a hose that runs up to a container thingy? behind the passenger strut tower and then over to the green nippled vacuum valves behind the strut tower on the drivers side. On the purge control? if looking directly down on your spfi, it would be the basically ontop of the thermostat housing. *(in the pic, one of the thermostat bolts can be seen to the bottom left next to that green connector)* I'm here if ya got any more questions. -

ok if u look at the drivers side strut tower from the drivers side fender area, you'll see the two green solenoids. I need the Left side as u could see in the pics. The other is the "Purge Control Solenoid" located near the thermostat. Thanks for your help noah, pm me when u get pics and ill send u info. -
