  1. well i am thinking i am going to go taller then 35's minimum tire size on mine in going to be 37" and i will have enough room for most ps boxes at that point. thank you both for the info i worked for chrysler for a number of years and am not fond of the short longevity of their equipment so i am unsure of what box to use yet but all will be considered. again thank you.
  2. what type of lights are those on the bottom of the bumper. got a enough light? i think not!
  3. to McBrat. how did you do the steering on your brat? that is the main issue i have run into with my design for my custom frame and four link set up.
  4. i will take a picture or two up close as soon as i can and post them on here to show you the basic idea of how i did it.

  5. it was very difficult. we had to use a lower heat and slow wire speed as not to melt the window seal and plastic around the window. the less damaging way to do it would be to remove the windshield but that takes forever. i just went for it with the window still in.

  6. it would be sick to see that subi wheel when you get it done. hope too see pics soon.
  7. where in Washington are you from?
  8. i live in sandy Oregon. originally form rhododendron up by mt.hood.
  9. well thanks. it is nice too actually get a little praise for my subi because everyone i know around here doesn't like it because i didn't just slam it and go the rice burner rout. i have the auto in it with 261k on the original tranny and i have flushed it once but that thing just keeps ticking. i am very interested in putting a five speed in it if you know anything about that swap or where i can get a cheap tranny that would be great. and it is getting increasingly hard to find a good mud tire because the whole debacle with interco selling super swamper off those bastards but i have been able to get by on general, BFG, and good year so far.
  10. i cant tell you how many times i have been pulled over so i could be reminded that spot lights are illegal but they are not really spot lights because they are fixed not moveable but they work awesome!
  11. good luck finding them but if you had 15" rims a 205/70 15 or a 215/75 15 are really close to a 27" tire and it opens up the types of tires and manufacturer list alot.
  12. let me know how it goes doing this build. i have been trying to get all the pieces together for a couple of years to do this build on my 95' legacy. very interested in seeing some pics.
  13. i have a 95 legacy with 98 ob struts on all four corners. all i had to do to fit even 28" tsl super swampers was cut on both sides of the small pinch weld right in front of the back tire and take a ball peen hammer and roll it under the car then sprayed some paint on it and it fit right in there on the stock 14" rim. i wheel the hell out of it and never have any problems so a 27 would fit beautifully if you just roll that pinch weld down a little.. it took me all of an hour and that was stopping for lunch in the middle.
  14. thank you for the info. with just the outback struts on my car though it already fit 28 inch tsls without rubbing, that is what i had on it. just wondering i have aome 15 inch offset wheels already to go on it i was just wondering what the maximum size tire i can get with the extra 3" lift was. but again thank you. here is a pic of it on the 28's right after i lifted it... they fit fine in my opinion.
  15. Custom tabs welded to A-pillars not easy but very strong with KC daylighters. Working on putting some on the bumper cross bar then there will be more as tube work progresses.
  16. my 95' legacy sedan has 98 ob struts on all four corners. i want to do the high guys lift as well same as the green legacy. should i use a forester trailing arm in the rear to keep my tire away from the body more or will it fit fine? i am assuming the lift comes with the proper drive train drop brackets? also i am wanting about a 30" tire is that feasible with the 98 ob struts and an additional 3" lift or will i be running into issues with the struts at that point? Thanks to all help i can get.
  17. 95' legacy with 98' ourback struts with 28x 8.50 r 14 super swampers and some 205 70 r15 snow tires, some rear pinch weld mods, slight fender trim. also entire front core support has 1/4 inch plate steel for bumper mount and rear diff welded. hoping to get another three inches of lift soon and 31's.
  18. how did you get the toyota axles on the brat. i am planning something similar with my 95 legacy and would like any tips i can get.
  19. swapped 98' outback struts with a little pinch weld modification in rear very little plastic inner fender rub at full lock while suspension is maxed out and some inner fender rub when jumped. 28x 8.50 r14 super swamper tsls also have a set of 205/70r15 snow tires with no rubbing at all.
  20. thank you. i do some extreme off roading with my car and i simply need bigger tires to keep the body off the rocks and what not. and thanks for the tip about SJR i thought they only made lift kits for the loyale and older body style subarus.
  21. the most awesome subaru i have ever seen!!!
  22. i need to get in touch with somebody that can make me some strut spacers and drive train drop brackets for my 95 subi legacy. can anyone help?
  23. my rear diff is welded and has been for two years now and i wheel my subi and take it rock crawling all the time and still drive it on the street and i havn't broken a cv or the diff yet. it will eventually eat through your tires though.
