  1. you dont need the stock lines if you are using a MBC or EBC.
  2. I redid the PCV system. its just a breather filter, and lines from that filter just branch out to the covers and center pcv. its an 87+ turbo intake pipe. and since you are using an EBC, you dont need to worry about those vac lines foing to/from the turbo for the stock EBC system.
  3. seriously considering junking the turbo...and going supercharging. Yes yes...i know that turbo is more efficient than super...but super has not lag, and for autox...super is better in alot of cases. After driving a near bone stock 2.5 RS today, and severely beating down a nearly stock STi and other turbo cars...im thinking about it more. has anyone actually succesfully SC'd an EA engine or ER? ive seen pics of an ER27...but...does it run?
  4. It will fit. IIRC forester 5spd and RS 5spd have same rear diff ratio of 4.111.
  5. yeah, unplug all the AC connectors, there are 2 of them at the compressor. Also, it looks by that reading the timing is too high and the engine is not fully warm... Retard the timing down to 15 and it should pass. I did that with my DL SPFI and it worked.
  6. freakin-A...I wont be going afterall. Having issued with my Outback. It needs a rad/rad cap/t-stat and gasket. It gets hot when driven hard at lower speeds...aka Dragon and autox speeds.

  13. thats not the point on me going to a 'better' tire choice. the 205 BFGs are GREAT. The reasoning to go with 15 inch wheels, is larger brakes. larger rotors, custom TWR aluminum calipers, retain the 4 lug, Carbotech panther P+ pads, superlite 15x8's, and a grippy'est street tire i can find to put on it. since autox tires are DOT legal...therefore street legal...I *COULD* run the Khumo Ecsta V700's in that size...well, 225/45/15. Basically an R-Compund tire.

  15. For the GL-10 when it get it back up and t3h fAst4r again...some 15x8's with 225/50/15 Falken Azenis RT-615's on it. That should be plenty sticky, eh? otherwise it'll be the same 13x5 stockers with 205/60's on them. what do you guys think?
  16. hmmm....i always hit it with an impact gun and it comes right out...
  17. you can leave the AC condensor in the car....just take the COMPRESSOR off. Its simple. 8 bolts and the engine is essintially ready to come out. Its just the small things like the radiator, Alt/AC/PS/wiring that needs to come off/unplugged before the engine can come out. Its easy. i can have one out in 45 mins by myself.
  18. NO. Superlite 15x6's out of Auz do not require a lift. As long as you install the same diameter tires as stock...for 4WD that would be 205/50/15's...there should be no rubbing as long as the stock backspacing/offset is the equlivilant as the stock 13x5's. I will be running 13x9's finally. 235/45/13 V700's here I come! Mine is LOWERED quite a lot, and im sure I wont have any rubbing.
  19. Steven has not got back with information on the actual condition of the coupe....plus I already have plans for friday as you know. Right now, im going to put that on the back burner, concentrate on building the wagon, and then I'll fix the RX. If that one doesnt work out, I know where another mint coupe is. and its white an 86, 5spd on top of that. Its 2wd carbed tho...BUT its got the full BLUE interior!
  20. No racing EJ's for me. I cant get to the coupe. I wont be at the dragon. Now its time for a long rebuild process.
  21. the dip is where hp/tq meet...so it makes it look worse than it it. the car used to hit that gremlin cut on stock boost...i think it wanted to hit it then. :-\
  22. That was the fuel cut gremlin, where it cuts off the injectors for 0.250 of a second...
