  1. both the clutch and flywheel setups are IDENTICAL. I have done it before. there are ZERO differences.

Ummm...this turbo is no larger than the 13G. The exh side is SMALLER..and the intake side is only slightly larger. Lag? what lag?
  3. thats the point. Hard to make a long post w/out getting interupted and ppl closing your window.
  4. Lets not all bash the GL and FAST in the same sentence. Technically, Ive got the fastest "GL" in the country...since it looks like a GL Coupe with a body kit.

So we just got in a VF40...and much action. The VF40 is what is on the Legacy 2.5 GT Turbo, 2005 MY. Its not much bigger than the VF7...but flows MASSIVELY more CFMs on the exhaust side...only a teeny bit bigger...however, the compressor side is BEAUTIFUL and is definalty larger than the VF7...it looks to be TD04L-13G sized..but with a MUCH better compressor wheel. I hope to find a used one, as there are already people out there that have upgraded the turbo on the EJ257 in their Legacy GT.
  7. the VF11 will NOT direct fit on an EA82T header. the TWE DP is a direct bolt on to the stock turo...but is NOT a direct bolt on to the rest of the exhaust.
  8. Yeah.....direct for for sure...but the TWEs are better, and can be swapped out for 'shorty' new style IHI DP's when you throw a TD04 or better on there, and not have to redo the entire DP back exhaust.
  9. how much of one? anything more than 20 deg and I wouldnt want to do it...
  10. subspeed does NOT make them anymore. Read all the text carefully and you will see why.
  11. TWE is the only one for the stock turbo. Call Folger SUBARU, talk to Mike Melton in Parts about them. They are the only ones in the USA that have the READY TO SHIP right this second. WJM
  12. Here's the rest of the results: http://www.geocities.com/wmaham1701/atlresults.txt Actually this course was VERY wide open. Atlanta has a HUGE lot to work with. At CCR and Triad, the courses have been not so high speed, very tight and technical and the Civics could not get the power down (main competition locally is a NA built civic, and one with a supercharger build, both with very good setups on them) and I've been able to beat them slightly at first...then I have started outrunning them by 0.5 seconds and more now. The ATL course is very nice pavement...only one spot with a washboard zone...the rest was high speed and VERY flowing...a national level course. I had never been on a course that high speed with the RX, the RX (along with the loose nut behind the wheel :-p ) is setup for the tight stuff...read: 2 inch dia undersized race rubber, ULTRA no-lag setup, and in low range its ALWAYS in the power. This course I should have gone with a stock size, i could have used 225/45/15's and gone in low still and been about 2 seconds faster alone from that. HOWEVER...if I had been able to nail the course, which i didnt, i could have got within 1 second of the BMW, if not faster than him.
  13. Actually, there was an STi in ESP that set FTD...45 some odd seconds i think...or was it 42..? I'll post the rest up tonihgt...there was A TON of ppl out. The Civic that mr Osgood drove had wider rubber, Koni's on it, a GSR swap with a turbo and Air/Water IC setup, full engine management...and a NICE LSD in the front.
  14. I had some SERIOUS competition. The WRX that finnished behind me was on 225/45/16 Victracers...I am #777 Street Mod, Will Maham. 15. Yes. A fellow FSP person and I looked at the rules, and it IS for FSP...and definalty legal for Street Mod.
  16. Correct. I was planning on a HUGE heat echanger for the water....and using the stock non-USDM Legacy AWIC core.
  17. I would.....but there is no room to do so....and I still need to get rid of the scoop to make the car FSP legal....FSP is a much cheaper class to run in than Street Mod. Im going to go with an AW unit, go back to the stock hood...and run SM some more and sort the suspension and driver out...then I'll move down to FSP i think.
  18. I am ditching the TMIC and FMIC air to air ideas....its time for Air To Water Intercooling! It SHOULD be far more superior if its built right...i had a few ideas that I need to research so I can make sure this is all going to work..... Dont know what I am going to use for the AW core yet...there are some custom ones that bolt on inplace of the stock WRX/STi TMIC, that are not too bad in price...kits are EXPENSIVE tho...I still might go with the stock JDM AWIC core that come on the legacys.... the actual exchanger core...its going to be HUGE. Im not going to falter on that one. THe larger, the better....more area for cooling that water down and keeping ti cooler overall. I've still yet to pick out what kind of 12v motor i need...Again, research time tonight...GT4 will be resting.
