Wierd performance after installing tires/rims...
WJM replied to TheSubaruJunkie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
yeah, that moulding compound takes about 500 miles to wear off the Falken Azenis Sports...dunno about the other, more 'normal' tires tho... -
Well...simlar setup on my 86 T-wagon yeilded 130 MPH....but it didnt have the built in ECU fuel cut like the 87+'s do...ive had this one up to 120 or so on stock boost and as much as 11psi... A previous, 89 RX that was completely stripped out, cam'd/intake/exhaust would go in excess of 130 mph on stock boost. the BONE STOCK one I had, an 88, would BARELY get to 110. :-\

Hmmmm......i guess I'd just stick with the regular D/R then. I like my FT4WD D/R RX box just fine.

So I washed off 90% of the road grime today...but bad news is it was about 20* F out when i did it...so, not the best job ever... But there it is, fully 'loaded'...aka back seat and cargo compartment stuff back in, tool box, extra stuff etc etc...enjoy!

Hello All - Need Help with Justy
WJM replied to DumbUglyDragon's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Really, there are no performance parts for a Justy. However, since I work at a SUBARU dealer, I can certinly help you out in the OE parts department. The best thing to do to get that thing rallyx capable is have some good struts and tires on it. If you dont care about what class you are running in or daily drivability/creature comforts...strip that interior out all the way! Delta Cam might could make a cam grind for it...and you might could get a good exhaust shop locally to make a good header-back exhaust for it. The next best thing is to get Megaquirt and Spark, for total engine management....fuel injection and DIS....and work on a nice intake system as well. I would not be suprised to see 75+ hp from one built like so. You can also call around to some places that make/get rods and pistons...might could get some higher compression/lighter parts for more power output. THere are also a few...VERY FEW...that have actually turbocharged a Justy. You will CERTINLY need a new clutch setup to handle that power. Good luck and welcome aboard! -

There is only one RX that I am aware of in NC. There was 3....but JWX purchased two of them...they were mine.

Techworks Header Uppipe Downpipe where is yours *Pics*
WJM replied to Myxalplyx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Ok, no place to say EXH or ATP line codes on napa online. THey suck any how. -
that and the stock unit is a once peice deal...but it usually turns into a 2 peice item after I get done with it. For some reason I really get annoyed with people call it an uppipe/header combo...there is no up pipe!!! Its a HEADER.

EXH is the line code. 1-5038 is a tranny filter kit....under the ATP line code...aka Automatic Transmission Parts. -
All your RX are belong to me.

$399 for the header. and unless you have a machine to do mandrel bends, a TIG welder, and are an engine-math wizard you are not going to be able to build a header that matches the TWE....and no one is willing to build a header for the EA82T and it perform as well as the TWE. Unless there is a demand, say, 500 or more, no one is going to touch this engine with a 5 mile pole. Alot of time was spend designing the header for exhaust pulses, proper tubing sizes, runner lenghts...etc etc. I was slap broke and I still spent the 600 to get the DP AND the header. You've seen my dyno charts, it was the best investment for the car next to the IC and boost controller.

Wierd performance after installing tires/rims...
WJM replied to TheSubaruJunkie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Air pressure. Also, shoter sidewall tires and larger rims on a car that has small rims an tall sidewalls makes that car handle profoundly different. 2002 WRX...going from the 205/55/16 to a 2xx(cant remember it it was 205 or 225)/45/17 make the car VERY pointy and follow the grooves...pull around in the grooves...the more air I run in the 205/60/13's on my RX, the more pointy it gets. So, check the air pressure, check the alignment. XT struts up front will drop an RX A TON....but in the back jack it up BADLY. -
the RX ratios are the same as any other 4WD in hi range....its just the reduction in lo is not as 'lo' as the regular D/R.

X1041AA014 full EA82T engine gasket kit. $170.86 usmb cost....only 3 left in the country.
-
they all supercede to this **** number i have. im going to find something thats close to it tho...
-
there are NO real rear RX struts left. that all supercede to that weak rump roast strut.
