  1. man, 05 outbacks sure seem to have PLEANTY of clearance and far as i can see.
  2. Goodyear Regatta 2's or Goodyear Assurance Comfortreds. They've got a 75,000 and an 80,000 mile warentee respectivly. they're both really good tires too. I have the regatta 2's.
  3. very nice someone with money....QUICK! GET ON THAT!
  4. in the mid-model outback sports with the scoop and vents on the hood, what happens if you unscrew the black plastic plates on the underside of the hood, opposite the scoop and 2 side vents? Does it make them functional?
  5. i could have worded it that simply.... i just didn't choose to
  6. ...new huh... old legacys were offered with a turbo in the US, in japan the 95-99 models had a 2.0l twin turbo option and the new ones can be bought with a 2.5l turbo
  7. i put outback struts on my legacy and gained about 2 inches.. so there's the answer to that. there's some fab work to be done to put the outback (legacy outback) struts on an impreza, but it can and has been done. Forester struts should fit an impreza just like outback struts fit my legacy being that outbacks are based on legacys and foresters are based on imprezas. on a related note, i wonder what would happen if you put baja struts on a last model legacy, being that the baja is based on the legacy....i bet it'd work
  8. yes, bolts right on. a little harder than stock for some reason, but bolt on none the less. about 2 inches give or take.
  9. tires or struts? anyway, if you mean tires, 205/65R15 Goodyear Regatta2s if you mean struts, Monroe Sensatrack
  10. i've done it. Me and SuperU. 1996 Legacy LS, now has outback struts. The springs are the same. also, your tires are much smaller than outback tires. Outback tires are 205/70R15. So, get outback struts, and 205/70r15 tires and you've got a 2.2 outback.
  11. hey, it's as much your thread as it is mine. if it weren't for you i wouldn't have even made this thread and by the way.....there's nothing better than quoting yourself in a reply.. i love it.
  12. i can't imagine how much it would cost to ship that thing from oregon to pittsburgh. did it bolt right on, or was there some fabrication needed?
  13. Yesa', i must give credit where credit is due how much was that tube bumper, and from where did you get it, oh Muse
  14. well, i figure that the lowest point is the rear pumpkin, or possibly the pinch weld. i have yet to do an official measurment 205/65R15 Goodyear Regatta 2s. one size smaller than an actual outback, being 205/70R15. In a previous post, i said tat my co-workers are probably getting me 215/75R15 Kelly DT/Rs for my wedding present. 'scuse any mis-spellings....many glasses of wine.
