  1. Wow those look amazing What did you use to polish the lip like that? It looks awesome! A great car too can't wait to see what you do with this one as well!!!
  2. I repainted it. I didn't remove everything, but I had the heads off so I figured I would flop the harness over the fender, and remove everything I could, and went at it with toreador red. The hood is still the original brown color on the bottom, but due to rust it wasn't worth repainting....
  3. Looking good! I love the rx kit, along with the lego wheels, the first gen turbo/outback wheels were my fist choice when I did my five lug as well, the look very good on the old gens!
  4. It's the same color, it's was even painted from the same gallon of paint left over. But the car was painted three years ago. Toreador Red has a bad habit of turing orange...
  5. Those light guards are sick!!!!!! As for me I painted my engine bay today
  6. Mine sit flush with the fenders, and I used the xt6 control arms on the brat's stock subframe welding ea82 mounts on the back side. I'm going to have to get wheel spacers for the back to make the wheels look even back there though...
  7. Started in on my head gaskets they were leaking oil on the y pipe, and it was getting old...
  8. By far one of my favorite mods I've done to my car, besides the strait pipe It's funny both of our cars started looking like plain white on blue lego wagons...

Thanks! I love this project, and need to focus on it again, I have to do some welding on a 65 ford this weekend, but after that I'm going to get right back on this! A couple solid weeks of work and it will be close to being on the road again! And the reason I did a 2.5 with 2.2 heads is because I didn't have to cut the engine bay apart. A DOHC engine is around 33 inches wide, and a ea81's engine bay is around 31 inches.

Well about time to bring this thing back:) Brought my drive shaft in today, going to have a new one made, and soon I'm going to be having power steering lines made up. I bought another project so that's why this has been on hold. Now that that one is mostly wrapped up, time to get back to my real project!!
  11. Glad it's being put to good use! Being as rust as it is, you wont feel bad beating the **** out of it Can't wait to see what you guys do with it!!!
  12. I'm having my sleeved at some point... I need to get back on that thing...
  13. I just fabricated my own using flat thick steel off from the original ea81 mount, It's not finished by any means, but it's a start. It still needs to be strengthened.
  14. ^This IMO the first gen legacys are some of the best Subaru's ever made, I have had two 1992's both with 200k + miles, and used them as daily drives, never had a single issue with one of them, just get in it and drive. I have also gotten pretty good milage with mine 23+ with the auto (vt hills kill mpg) And 25+ now that it's a five speed!!!! (we won't talk about the one I lifted ) I also like the 95-96 but I just prefer the older body style.
  15. I'm loving it. I also had an exhaust put on it at the same time, she's really loud, like obnoxiously! I removed the second cat and now it has a strait pipe with one glass pack in it. I love it!
  16. Yeah I'm psyched! Tomorrow I'll post some pics and some swap info as soon as I get my camera (It's on a tool box at work)
  17. It lives! I got it together tonight, runs and drives great! Has some slight idle issues right now as it still thinks it's an auto, but it's so nice to have a five speed!
  18. I did it was too long. It was out of a second gen though. I got one out of my parts car now so it's good. I just need to get the wiring right now....
  19. Stupid driveshafts being too short or too long. I think I have the right one now. it held me up last night so I had to come home from work and flip a car over to get it out of the parts car.
  20. I can Pm you with more details, I don't need to Hijack my own thread
