  1. Well this winter I had noticed a spray on the inside of my window that was coming up by the seat belt, and now I'm selling my legacy so I decided I would look into it before I sell the car to make sure it's in good shape for the next owner. here is the window So after doing all of this I found the problem. When the PO had the air ride replaced with normal struts, they didn't plug the whole where the air line went, so because of this mistake I now have to change the seat belt because it got filled with salt this winter, but I have a spare so over all an easy fix. It doesn't even need welding. I expected a huge hole
  2. Yeah this one did, it was mounted on top of the dash in place of the compartment that's usually there, I have seen them on a few 2.5 rs's as well but they are a rarity. This is the 4th one I have ever seen. I think it was a dealer installed option. They are very easy to wire up, if you do find one just don't forget to get the temp sensor behind the grill for the out door temp!!!!!
  3. Did this to my 92 lego today Went to a pick n' pull and picked that out of a forester today got that and some other parts for $50! I put the stereo in today as well. I had that kicking around in another car.
  4. I thought my new one was clean!!!! Wow. Mine's missing that third peddle, soon to be changed. I can't deal with another auto! Congrats on a great purchase!
  5. Here it is with the turbo wheels I had on my brat, and since that's not even running yet I put them on just so I could take it for a good test drive without it shaking like crazy.
  6. A collage student drove it here, he just got an 03 outback and decided to sell it. As for the wheels the are most certainly VW. I saw a Passat with the same ones today. I will be putting the turbo wheels on it though that I have on my brat for now. I love it, although the tires are so shot I got death wobble above 35 mph on the way home from work today
  7. I found it on Craigslist, just north of where I live, the guy was from out west and drove it here for school, and was sick of it! I got it for $500
  8. She's a beautiful 1992 legacy, from way out west so no rust at all I can't believe I haven't bought one from the west coast before now. Needs a left front fender and mirror, but the underside is so clean I could eat off from it. My plans right now are to keep it simple, I'm going to five speed swap it, put some new seats in (i'm thinking 02 wrx!) wheels, exhaust and that's about it. Needs a little paint work, but it's just amazing. I'm in love! It has rear quarters!!!!!!!! And I think V-dub wheels??
  9. Ahh you're the one that made my stripes for my brat Great job I bought them long before I was a member here and they look amazing. I may need to discuss some stripes that I'm currently dreaming up for my fwd wagon project....
  10. Put me down for a blue 4wd one when you get around to making them i'm in no hurry I have to get it running before it looks pretty! I may have a couple I can send in as cores I'll have to look around my shed of wonders this weekend!

It's a bad thing you gave me that link... All of mine need them those seat belt covers would be nice too! Thanks, I may have to wait a bit to get one, but that's on the list of things to get now!
  12. Mine didn't I added those along with seats, and suspension from the same car (mine originally had those junk air struts) it's getting a five speed swap (lifted with the auto and 3.90's is killing me), and tube bumpers this summer while I have it off the road and am driving my wrx or me ea81 Keep us posted on progress you did some fine work with your last car, can't wait to see how this one turns out
  13. Luckily mine had just had the whole front clip replaced with new metal before I bought it and the PO spend around 4000 on repainting it and replacing parts 2 years before I got it with a bad alternator and a wrecked door! By the way our cars match, just mine has some purple to it!
  14. Your car is beautiful, I love it. I hope my legacy ends up looking this cool eventually. Where did you get those wheel spacers? My brat needs some badly after I added five lug using the xt6 control arms, the rear is a lot narrower then the front now.
  15. Wow great find. Looks like it's in really good shape. They hatches are hard to come by, you got yourself a great deal. I have to say out of all the cars I've owned my 82 Subaru has been my favorite, I hope yours treats you as well as mine has treated me
  16. Looks awesome! I wish I could still find gen one legos in that nice of shaper where I live, I also dig the black looks really clean. Congrats on another sick ride!
  17. That was the year I was born I love my wagon, all my friends thought that I was crazy for owning such an old car... Funny part is it's still on the road and outlasted most of their newer ones
  18. This I have seen ones so bad that when you take the shied off there's nothing behind them I would start by pulling that off and seeing what's there.
  19. Yeah the ice gets really bad and for the average driver, it's probably better to have it, but honestly I just rock studded snows and get a winter car to keep my nice ones from a salty diet Back on topic, I may have a bumper strip if it's the same as a 2wd wagon, I'm debating using the stock bumpers or making tube ones like I did on my other wagon, as soon as I decide it may be up for grabs. -Shaun
  20. Sounds right to me, we have to change them all the time up here in VT we probably do one a week at the shop I work at. Rust is a wonderful thing... And the screws can be a pain at the top as stated already. Sometimes we have to drill them out in order to get the fill tube out.
  21. I guess I'm just behind the times! And yeah window frames are a good idea, I had an Impreza coupe as well, and the windows had huge scratches right down the center. It was rather annoying.

"Short" shifter has been built kind of, it's better but not perfect, I think I'm going to role with it for now, it wouldn't take much to modify it some more in the future I need to get it running before I worry about much else for now. This is how much I took off the top and added below the mount. It does have a shorter throw but could be a bit better
  23. I just realized something.... They have window frames I just don't know how I feel about this....
