Pics of progress! Power steering and alternator are on, and I finished up my power steering lines. I also added a relay box for my megasquirt and finishing up the wiring..
  2. Title laws are odd. In VT if the car is 15 years or older there is no title issued to the car. Meaning you can not get one a all. This creates a lot of issues selling cars out of state :-\. It's a pain. There are lost title applications you can get up here, I don't know if CT would have something like that, but it may be worth a try... Just a thought...

Ordered addico sway bars today! I also had custom power steering lines made up this week, and did a little wiring.
  4. Okay good to know. I have 15" wheels now, and I'm getting 16's so that's no big deal. I have everything as far as the brakes, so this is happening!
  5. I was thinking of doing this as well! Do the calipers and rotors bolt up to the first gen lego hubs? I have a 97 Gt I have been taking all the parts off from

I'm not sure. I never though to weigh it before I took it out. But I would think it wouldn't add all that much. The engine is a little heavier, and the trans I would think would be about the same. I could weigh it at the local scrap yard when it's all said and done

Alright, So my driveshaft should be in this Tuesday and today I got fuse boxes! Saab 900 ones will be perfect for what I need. It has an accessible back with easy to follow wires to each one, and places for relays as well. I need to sell my impreza and then I'll have all the money to finish this It's hard to juggle all of these projects. May Order sway bars this weekend that would be well invested money.
  8. Looks so good I had those same wheels on my Impreza coupe painted gold, and it look amazing as well! Looks like I have to get gold five spokes for my lego now, I'm thinking forester 16's though....
  9. Well after digging through over a year of my facebook I found the link Here are some pics (it's not a us spec car as it's right hand drive) and it's an older impreza than I thought too, appears to be a first gen pre 97 i'm going to say, as it doesn't have the compartment on top of the dash, and the car is an ea81 coupe (1985) And here is the amazing car
  10. I'm in the process of hooking it up on my brat, (That's a 2.2) I would email the company, they were very helpful, and could tell you what you would have to do to run the disty, and the IAC. (if you can) Also the build your own kits weren't all that bad to put together, just don't put the led's in backwards, and only work on it while you are fully awake and focused I know that from experience. Also the wiring is pretty simple, I just need to get on it and finish mine.
  11. I saw a newer style 2002+ impreza dash in an old coupe once, I'll see if I can dig up some photos. It may take a while....
  12. This^ I have been lucky enough to find ones locally from the south and or west. The farthest I have traveled to get a car was from vermont to virginia for my wrx (it was a good deal, and even newer Imprezas are getting rotted badly here :-\ ) I have been thinking of finding a rust free ea81, and having it ship here, I'd like to start with a good one for once and not have to deal with replacing quarters, and rockers for once.
  13. Not if you do it all yourself. I just cut out the bad metal, weld in new stuff fill it , seal it and prime it, paint it/ the car. It's not 100%, but it will get you through a state inspection If I feel like getting really fancy I'll track down a parts car with good rear quarters and cut them out (they are out there, just sometimes hard to find) and weld them on. I did that on my Impreza and my Brat. But it is much easier to find a car that's rust free. They are out there, and I have slowly been selling my semi-rusty ones and finding good ones out of sate and going to get them. Then after purchase, I do all I can to prevent rust, such as por15 the spots that tend to rust, and then oil undercoat them (or not drive them in the salt/winter)
  14. Do it. Well worth a jeep. Hard to find a good solid one up here. I have been welding the two of my ea81's back together for some time...
  15. Here is my build thread for ya! http://www.newenglandsubarus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19873
  16. Thanks! I really don't have much time into it so far, just a five speed swap and hellas along with the mud flaps, soon to come wrx struts (have just not installed) and bigger brakes off form a newer outback!
  17. our cars are a lot a like, I got the hellas though. I wanted to mount mine lower, but couldn't due to me liking to drift into snow banks during the winter Now you need some sick mudflaps. P.S. I have a fish named EJ.
  18. I pulled the engine in my TS hatch to do head gaskets and a clutch, and started touching up the rear quarters and some other small spots. Paint's matching ok, i'll need to do some buffing and blending.

That helped! I actually have an impreza I need to work on this weekend, but I'm hoping I can work on the brat at the same time....
  20. Awesome! Looks like it's in overall good shape. What are your plans for it?

I need motivation. Anyone? Work has been crazy busy and I have been saving so I can pay off most of school before I go back in the fall, but I really need to get back on this thing. I haven't heard anything about my driveshaft, was hopping it would be finished by now, sunday I plan on working on the power steering lines, and maybe some of the wiring. Things left to do as of right now Program ECU (not sure how to do this) create a map (not sure how to do this...) The rest of the wiring Put in the new driveshaft power steering alignment put my wheels back on (they are on my lego right now) fuel lines fuel pump and then there's stuff like rust work in the bed and such, but that's no big deal that could even wait until the winter again.
  22. Mine took a long time to come in, I almost though they were not going to come in. I feel like they may only run those parts a few times a year and wait until they have enough orders before they rerun the parts if that makes sense.
