  1. all tires match, it is a automatic tranny, +all the same pressure , , i was going to do a tranny flush anyways, + both diffs, what i mean by alittle tb is stopping the car crank the wheel all the way and turning right slowly , i can feel alittle tb, , ok on the belt ,would you have the part# for the power steering belt, ?
  2. my 95 legacy has a power steering squeal ,but only when it sets out and it is fairly cold outside , after it warms up it is fine, so i decided to drain the reserve tank and added lucas power steering fluid , or maybe the belt is loose ? it is a new one, is it common to have alittle torque bind in very loose pee gravel ?

  5. ok, but i do have awd ,but mine is a 95 not 97 , is there a difference in the speedo sensor ?, the car runs fine,thanks skip
  6. ok, can this be changed without dropping the tranny ? if i call the dealer i am sure they will send me the right part ,what will this cost me ? ? or is it possible the wire is loose or need cleaned at the connection ?,thanks
  7. my speedo is jumping around ,when i first start off , [ 95 legacy L wagoon] , i was reading that it's a plastic piece on the tranny side ,could some one give me the oem part # so i can call the dealer for the part , also i have noticed the belt acts like it is slipping , but it is a new belt or is is coming from the timing belt area, possible ,did research ,should i get a new speedo cable , and of course the cluster has to come out , the cruise control works fine ,
  8. there is alot of good info here , change the tranny fluid, front/rear diff, regular oil changes, tune ups, i can say this much , i own the most subaru's in the general area, but they are not every where around here , all the junkyards either crushed them or never get them in, :-\

  10. when adding techron to the fuel tank does it really matter when you add it , empty or full tank ??
  11. 156,000mi, a/t awd , a few small things, support struts for hatch, fuel door, fuel gauge, ,but all major things good,
  12. when i drained and filled my 88 turbo i got out 7 quarts , drove it up on 1 ramp car was at tilt , and put back im 7 qt since no shop around here will do a tranny flush on awd cars ,
  13. yes i would have the tranny fluid changed , your tranny will like it , i do it myself since no shops around will do it , i drain and fill ,not sure of the charge in your area ,around here on fwd cars ,they charge around 80 bucks . alot less than a new tranny , in my opinion
  14. if it;s a wagon check out the support struts for the hatch, fuel gauge, fuel door, the latch it self and can rusty , all mine were
  15. the 95 legacy i just bought ,the stereo or cd player stays on all the time ,unless you turn it off , i have to leave a cd in it and then turn it off , make sure you wired it up correctly , becuse mine would run the battery down
  16. thanks ,my fuel door just quit working , now i have to use a screw driver to open it , any suggestions ?+ fuel gauge
  17. my 95 legacy L wagon has no map light , and i think the lsi models do and of course the outbacks do , can i put a map light from a lsi or outback and is there screw holes + wiring there ? + will the front seats from a 96 or 97 outback bolt right up into a legacy L wagon ? my wife likes the adjustable seats from a outback ,thanks
  18. any special tools needed , i have all metric tools + standard , should i replace pullies etc... ,there are timing belt kits on ebay , any seals there ? there are several on ebay , 95-99 ,96-99, 2000- 2004 , and different prices , mine should be the 2.2 95 legacy
  19. well ,ok wrenching, i will always buy subaru's , new can break down also, we have went 2.5 years without a car payment, and have improved our home greatly , been married 15 years, soooooooooo not just married,, + if i buy a new 1 the dealer is 1 hour for warranty work, you can't always say mi mile on a car will nickle dime you , my 88 dl d/r with 198,000mi on it has not , in 2.5 years ,1 bad plug wire ,1 bad t-stat ,
