  1. so I did a comp test and 2 tested at ZERO (didn't even move the needle) 4 tested 100psi and 1 was at 115 and three was 120. I broke the piston somehow on 2, I'll take pics when I tear it apart.
  2. ya the oil pressure was fine and I'm not sure where I'm getting teh head studs at.
  3. on my way to a test and tune autoX, my engine starts ticking like an EA81 so I turn around head back home get about ten miles or so and I lose all power and the engine dies drift to the side of the freeway pop the hood expect to see one less timing belt, but both are there and both are tight. so I think "hmm this isn't going to be good, go to crank the engine and the dipstick pops up like on thanksgiving turkeys when they're cooked. then it starts smoking white smoke out of the dipstick hole, and I get it started and it blows enough blue smoke out the tail pipe that I didn't have to worry about bugs anytime soon right there. call my dad and he comes get me and I go to start it to drive it on the trailer, and I get no compression, and I'm like well its cooked so I use the starter to get it on the trailer. get it home and pull the dip stick and a piece of metal comes off with the oil, either bearing material, or bore wall, or piston. and thats that for this engine. prolly going to get a junkyard engine, or a JDM one and put in it now, and build a 8.5:1 comp. ratio engine with head studs, oe or metal head gaskets and full EM. CN my RX blew its engine
  4. fixed that for you.
  5. gabba, gabba?
  6. hows the body on it?
  7. I want to try it one day, take a hatch, throw an EJ257 in the back with an AWD tranny, find a way to make it drive the wheels right. would be a fun, expensive car but well ya

just for the record I was joking
  9. that temp is low? I was going to say that looks a little high to me, and he has a funky sender for the oil press. so it reads low. and ya I have to agree 95 comes quick but after thats its a slow climb, and i always chicken out when I get to 105

good call. now make it stick out the hood with a big scoop.
  11. I'm going to build one of those one day, only mine will be AWD
  12. whats the story with the coupe?
  13. what all does it scan for?
  14. get a 2 row radiator it helps big time. and its like 130 shipped, for an all brass one.
  15. I'd go ahead and get atleast the water pump, its right there and you do NOT want to ever over heat these engines. and I'd try to get OE subaru belts and gaskets, they're worth the money. unless one tears his engine down like once a month.
  16. how much longer?
  17. those are teh only ones I've driven, and they had good response, but I am used to ecno-boxes.
  18. you ever driven one? my sis had an 89 SI and an 88 integra, both handled great, but were a PITA to work on, and the engine in the SI was lackluster for me, the D16 in the teg was cool, cause it would rev to like 8grand but had no torque. but ya I hate hondas, would never own one but there ok cars to drive.
  19. don't tempt me. I've already missed out on one of your cars.
  20. we prolly should fab a fuel rail to get equal fuel distbution.
