  1. indeed, you should throw that "fuel system" you had in the wagon on it. and dyno it again
  2. I doubt it, now that TWE has built them they have the jig for it and such
  3. you have a very good point there. but I don't think anybody has, if I had a set of calipers I'd try them on my hatch. but alas I don't, but I might know somebody who does
  4. it did and it works now, but I have to find one for the RRX now :/
  5. you plotted this didn't you? and yes I checked it allready, it doesn't have one. might have a look see in the rotary RX and see if that one be there.
  6. my defrost isn't working in my RX (88), when I push the switch I don't hear the relay click, so I switch the switch out and same thing so I get to checking the connector with a test light. and I get the relay to click over but the grid still didn't defrost, might not have let it run long enough but the volts weren't droping. what is the problem? also the FSM shows a relay box in the back, and I can't find it or a loose connector.
  7. damn I want to get a base line before I get the header. and yes I know its allready been done but it has a different setup now
  8. h so you are going to use the XT6 flywheel and PP with the 81 disk? that seems ok, I thought you were going to use the full XT6 setup. never mind then
  9. I'd go complately aftermarket, go with who ever you like brembo, wilwood, whatever. but thats me
  10. why not just get the stage 3 for the EA81?
  11. can you post the info? I'd love to read it
  12. seems you and me have the same problem. if you figure it out let me know
  13. I think mine came from a FSM, but I could be wrong its been awhile since I copied and pasted it.
  14. I think the thing that most people miss about this engines, is the fact that Subaru built them as commuter engine they just wanted good MPGs, good relilabily, and ok performence. if you open up the intake, exaust, add more fuel, and work with the engine a bit most would be amazed at what you can get out of them.
  15. he is talking about the "stud" that runs thru the mount, and goes into the crossmember. there is a nut on the bottom side of the mounts, I think it's a 12 or a 14, but take that off. should be able to see it from underneith the crossmember. and I feel what you guys are saying about the underside of these engines, its kinda like somebody threw up oil ALLL over it and then we drove thru a mud hole or something.
  16. ok so I have the parts book here and I see that the fuel pump is listed as 85-87 and 87-90, which me thinks would indicate that 87 would be the cross over year and some might have the 85-86 pump and some would have the 87-90 pump. there might be something there.
  17. wrong thread
  18. hehe you've read my mind. the only thing that might hold me up is the header, not sure what to build it out of that would be strong enough.
  19. how else would it work? the ECU doesn't see anything else
  20. why would that be a bad thing? or are we talking like you can't shift right too much
  21. u check the fuel pump or anything in the lines? could be a vac leak too. try another carb and see if that fixes it
