lazy lifter?
What's atf? Also, I'm not hugely concerned, it's mostly just annoying. I don't plan on keeping the current engine in the car much longer anyway But ya, ATF?

Plastic parts made
You need to post this over on the xt forum. This is an incredible resource for us without readily available parts. You could probably make quite a bit of money doing this too! I'd gladly pay you to make various plastic bits. Xt6 steering column covers for instance, those are next to impossible to find. So actually .....what do I need to send you to have you make a couple sets for me?

lazy lifter?
I've been having an issue recently. My engine ticks.....sometimes quite angrily, sometimes just a bit, sometimes not at all. I've made sure that I have enough oil in it numerous times, but everytime, its full. The ticking correlates to my RPMs, in that as my rpms rise, so does the ticking accelerate accordingly. Someone I know suggested that it may be a lazy lifter... I don't really know what that is or means. Any ideas? Is this the tick of death I've heard so much about D= Car is a 1989 5spd xt6

Xt6 questions.
I'm pretty sure you're thinking ej tranny swaps. For the most part they have the same doj spline count as ea82 turbos and er27 (25 if memory serves) so theyre the easiest to implement. they do need adaptor plates tho to be able to fit up to the engine.

Xt6 questions.
Wait.....svx 5spd tranny??? Svx's only came with the 4eat auto trans (same trans used in the 87.5 and later xts. (If I'm not mistaken?)

What should I take from this 89 XT6?
PAARRTTSSS:slobber: But seriously, you should check out the steering column covers. If they're in good condition, I want those. Also, the power window control unit. I also might be interested in the power steering :-p Additionally, I would want the vent that's just to the left of the instrument panel, but inside the trim. Once again depending on condition!

Xt6 questions.
How rare? Why are they so rare? I have a 5spd xt6 with rear lsd and diff lock. I didn't know they were a rarity tho! Is this set-up particularly desirable? Sorry for jumping in, my interest is just seriously peaked now.

Xts are spaceships. It's time we stopped lying to people about this.

Subaru Remanufactured Engines
How much for an ez30d from the 00 to 03 production years? The website only details the second generation of the ez30d. I would assume that the older variant would be less? (He said hopefully:lol:)

2WD 81 GL ~ 22-24 mpg max? Shouldnt I be getting 30?
I ran 94 through my 89 xt6 and got the best mileage I've ever noticed. Don't know if this applies tho:o

"Frankenmotor" H6?
I wasn't thinking, I looked back into the literature that I found my info in, and it definitely says 25d:-p, my mistake. And the parts have to do with the valvetrain.

xt6 bulb part numbers/specifications
Thanks! I have a bad habit of assuming that the info isn't available online

xt6 bulb part numbers/specifications
I'm replacing the bulbs in the dash(xt digidash), trip computer(xt6), and the right exterior marker light of my xt6. Does anyone know the part numbers or bulb specifications of these? I want to replace them with brighter LEDs, has anyone done this? (Excluding the marker light) I need to order them soon, so haste would be much appreciated

"Frankenmotor" H6?
The ER27 was an EA82 with 2 more cylinders jacked on to the back. The EG33 was an EJ22 with 2 more cylinders that used unreleased EJ25*D* parts.

Power window micro-project
I can't post pictures here, I've got a much more intensive write up with pictures on the xt forum. Here's the link for anyone who's interested http://subaruxt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=12755&p=143128#p143128

Power window micro-project
I got the "auto" switch and "well" separated form the rest of the unit. zzz (icon is oddly specific, seeing as I used a sawsall ) So now I just have the one switch, with the harness attached to it. I'm going to take apart the door tomorrow to get at the passenger's side unit. Anyone have any tips before I start this? I haven't had the doors apart yet...

Power window micro-project
I'm going to try and use the parts I already have first. But that is definitetly a viable option once I fail From looking at the switch assembly from the drivers side, It almost looks like I would just need to extract the driver's side window switch from another unit, and somehow rig it in to fit in the same way as the stock passenger's side switch. I'll have to wait to see what the pins and connector look like on the passenger's side switch, but I'm guessing I'll have to do some repinning.

Power window micro-project
Also, Can anyone take a picture of a passenger's side unit? I would love to see what one looks like from behind.

Power window micro-project
I had an interesting Idea for the windows in my xt6. As some of you are likely aware, the xt6 driver's side power window has a function that allows it to either raise the window all the way, or lower the window all the way by "clicking" the power window switch to either extreme. So I though, how could I do this for all window switches? I got my hands on 2 sets of driver's sides switches. I don't pretend to be of any use with electronics but what do you guys think? is it as easy as taking everthing appart and just applying the different switch?

What does this sounds mean D=
Ok, now it makes the sound when slowing down by any means D= and there's a "fwipita " sound that accompanies it. Pardon the onomatopoeia
