  1. wow thanks for the info guys! I carefully poked around and to remove metal crud then blasted it out with carb cleaner. then wd-40. then carefully forced the key back in and now it works again. not the smoothest lock but it works
  2. Anyone know of a good DIY on removing the lock cylinder. Mine is busted and i just want to knock all the tumblers out and have my legacy key work in it.
  3. Also pictured is Nick W's new 86 brat GL. I am sure he will be loggin on soon enough. 1995 Subaru Legacy L FWD only 200k miles. Nicest driving car i have ever owned. Has all the bells and whistles and they all work. GOOOOO SUBARU go go go go till i got 600k miles
  4. its my understanding that adding anymore power to a first gen requires structural reinforcments
  5. My friend Lindsey gave me one of your t-shirts yesterday! I didn't know till just now that you made it. Thanks dude! also a friend of mine might be needing a set of decals. not sure yet though
  6. I love all the gerry rigging. and the dog is pretty sweet too!
  7. more pictures please. under the hood, inside etc etc. you have probably the baddest brat on the planet. Gen 1 body in perfect condition! AND updated chassis. MORE PICS!!!!
  8. dammit my sister wanted that wagon. congrats
  9. twice in the last year ive had a warm handfull of dead baby mice. almost vomit inducing. The brat had a whole next sitting on the heater core. i got in to it cause of the steam making me think the core was bad. EWWWWWW!!!! and then the cavalier had a nest in the blower motor. that was an easy fix but still gross
  10. I like how its "5 SPEEDS" like a poorly translated video game.
  11. the same hub caps as Subaaaroo Nick's wagon
  12. My first brat, and second one next to it. (i was 15 and didn't respect things yet) My uncle's Brat i learned to drive on. and drained the battery listening to cassette tapes often (behind it is his first Brat in need of rebuilding, and a 73 Datsun pickup)
  13. you lucky dog. got all the cool toys in your yard!!!
  14. Im not sure your wagon is the best in the state. maybe
  15. In my search for a water pump for my 1980 brat EA71 1.6l, there are apparently 2 options: A: 2.4 inches from mounting flange to center of pulley or B: 2.525 inches from mounting flange to center of pulley Does anyone know why some EA71's might have an 1/8th inch difference in pulleys?
  16. only personal experiance with tail lights and blinkers and such is the ground wire being grounded to a peice of rust dangling below the brat. once reattached all lights worked properly. with no ground in the rear your blinker indicators will light up on the dash when breaking. amoungst other weird ************.
  17. i wish i took a picture of it before i took it off. does anyone else have a picture of their functioning and still installed anti afterburn valve?
  18. anti-afterburn gerry rigging gone wrong. notice the hose in a hose in a hose? plug them all.

  22. When you are 14 yrs old and someone gives you a brat, you take the doors off, ramp terraces, and mount a spud gun on the roof. and when it breaks down you leave it out in the elements. It was fun as hell though. https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/197062_1002277709744_4551_n.jpg https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/183196_1002277669743_4207_n.jpg https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/185840_1002277629742_3837_n.jpg
