figured out a neat trick for buggy put the air ride rear suspention in the back cranked them to 65 psi no more squat its stiff as heck when it takes off now the back end is planted and the front comes off the ground what a differance how long the air bags will hold up under race conditions i dont know anyone got any used rear wagon air shocks come from 85-89 gl10 ?
  2. the single range shifter has a shorter trans output so shifter sitts in diferent place
  3. if its 1600 its single range never heard of a duel range in a 1600 car ever but they did come with exactly the same shifters in 1980 was 1600 81 was 1800
  4. i use a cobalt cement bit for drilling cement took a few to get through the last one drill from one side than the other till you hit the center shaft then stop then it should slide off
  5. igniter ? i get the wire harness and sensers wet on race buggy all the time most afected are mas air senser tps and idle moter the injector pulse for #1 cly is run through the idle moter to give it pulse so if idle moter problems will directly afect cly 1s performance iv.e even had to disasemble the ecu and wash the mud out still works fine after electroinics are very tough on subarus
  6. i kept 20 sets of rotating assemblys for ea81 crank and rods i kept them for the airplane guys gos for 100 for good matched sett crank and rods from running engine
  7. no i never herad of that machine although i suspected it my valve grinder worked perty good but was not as acurate as i liked but worked very well ran perfectly no smoke or blowby and smooth now i'm done the suzuki engine i can get to the 3 forester 2.5 s that came in thiss week we got bent valves blown headgaskets knocked out bottom end and a buggy with one wheel drive to fix at least i'm not slow probly fixed 20 subarus thiss week and a sidekick
  8. do the brake lights work ? the shift lock works off the brake light fuse and if looses fuse will not let key out have seen thiss many times of the shift interlock realy has broke the soilder joint and is not sending the brake signal to ig
  9. my moms 4800000 km loyale died yesterday lost spark when i looked the coil was coroded where it bolts down and was not grounding to the body the transistor on the coil must be grounded its bolted to a painted surface so do's not ground good file it clean and rebolt it and c if that fixes it it fixed this one have seen this many times
  10. was able to use my valve grinder to size down the 0.20 rings to 0.10 hope it works took for ever one ring at a time grind meshure grind meshure looks to be a good fitt should work fine
  11. had a loyale yesterday that they had put distrubutor in 180 and moved the plug wires to get it to run but distrubutor whould not go into the range needed was 30 degrees advanced and run badly poping out the carb uhsaly means to far retarded timing
  12. not everyone needs a wleder on there volksy van what 200 amps or more bet your lights are good
  13. i put propane and turbo on my 3.0 fixed the carbon problem right up i whould run a water line in and water the bugger wide open for a good drive a washer bottle works good with a small jet mabee 0.16-0.20 and feed it some water at wide open throttle
  14. it ended up being a bad line that was leaking between the layers of the line was bubbled and soft the fliud was coming out about six inchs from where the line was damaged was pain to find after i changed the slave and the master found the line when i got preshsure to come up i think thiss line could be alot of the clutch problems mabee colapses inside and fails
  15. the subaru ones are still avalibble but grossly expensive over 350$ the suzuki ones are not avalibble anymore the only thing i can do is get the 0.20 ones and file the gap to fit is very disapointing. I know subaru did thiss but suzuki to what a pain when i try to order the 0.20 pistons can only find one who stocks one oversize piston anyway none of my supplyers can get a oversize piston for a tracker 1.6 engine parts are geting very hard to find here howbout the rest of the world or is it just canada ?
  16. have one came in yesterday pedal stuck to floor was the master bypassing just kept airating the fluid and whould not bleed out also update the fluid to dot 4 as it has higher boiling point and dose not heatsoak as bad the slave gets hot and dot 3 cant hold up to the heat in that location
  17. Have been running into subaru and suzuki engines that have been factory rebiulds that are bored to 0.10 over witch is not a avaliable size aftermarket when i try to get rings from dealer a'm told no longer avalibble cant use std rings and can only get 0.20 aftermarket makes theese engines almost imposibble to rebiuld why did the factory rebiuld engines use theese odd ball size pistons and anyone had any luck finding theese rings the suzuki 1.6 is the worst just no rings avalibble and no oversize pistons ether bang my head on the wall very frustrating

just cant seem to get pictrures on here is real pain
  19. i put the ea82 carbs on them is way biger and works better
  20. oil preshure test it first make shure bottom end is ok no less than 10 psi hot at idle
  21. yes thats a good way to go but expensive for a mud buggy the electronics get wet and muddy alot not shure how well the mega squirt whould hold up to that but it looks like it my next step i have it up to 550 cc injectors now with a 20 shot of nitros seems to work good i got a fogger that gives feul and nitros so i can add extra feul with the nitros and jet it accordingly
  22. main berrings bleeding off or bad oil pump seals or to low of idle should be 850-950 rpms
