  1. sorry corky i didn't spend any extra time up there..pretty much drove up, took care of the car, and drove back. richie and i will be up there on monday so i'll give you a call then.
  2. well for the time being i will be using my xt6 tranny w3.9vlsd rear end. reasons why... 1: buys me more time (one less thing to mod) to get it done so i can at least drive it for the time being 2: since people "talk the talk, but don't walk the walk" it will actually give solid proof over at xt6.net on what this tranny can handle. that is, if/when it breaks.
  3. i am definitly will be updated this...im soo excited i can't wait! im moving next monht and have a big garage i need to break in
  4. well I still kept the wagon i bulit in 99/00 , which by the way has been sitting in the garage for the 1.5 years. So, after dealing with the lame "mod me and i explode" 1.8t, it was time, time for an upgrade here's a little story(click for bigger pics), got up early and drove teh RX to north WA ended up in Puyallup to pick up this. super thanks to suberdave for letting me store it for a couple days!!! i owe you, and yes your wagon is fast!(well have to have a little head to head at wcss;) ) just a hair over 100k, smaked in the rear, burned up clutch. *edit* nevermind the rims( see page 2) and its getting stuffed into ...so that there's no more of this so ill keep this thread updated on the progress, and build up of the 2.2T. the fun should start right after i move into my new house.
  5. to be honest with the time,money,wirring/stand-alone, power, etc for the 2.2t....IMHO i would build up your 2.7 and turbo it (big turbo of course:brow: )..use the aftermarket EMS for that, MMMmm 6cyl turbo:headbang:
  6. ok with all the talk this past year of using accord springs on the rear, i have been wondering why no one has really mentioned..... using 2wd rear shock with 4wd(or other stiffer 2.5 id) spring! the only time i see mention of these rear differences, is when a few xt6,gl,etc people have converted from their awd air suspension (using 2wd parts) and get stuck with a low front and high rear. as you can cleary see the rear 2WD shock has a higher perch than the 4WD shock just thought I'd share. and yes i know why the 2wd shocks are different, you don't need to explain that
  7. pffft what a 4x4:eek:... lower that beeotch;)
  8. if thats an RS, its the first white one i have seen. all the rest have been black
  9. yes, once the "loyale" line was sarted there were a few coupes with some RX exterior goodies labled the RS. nearly all of not most were auto's non turbo
  10. DOH! i skipped your post rob, anyway the front 2 bolts at the change tray line up, for the screw(s) inside of the compartment do indeed bolt to a bracket that is part of the lap belts for the autoblets, its eaiser to just make a bracket out metal strapping. also on the high rise ther is a lower piece that wraps around the back of it at the floor, i could get it to fit due to the pressence of my seat buckles
  11. well loyales did not have the 85-86 "brown" interior, they got tan/light brown
  12. i just put a new console in my turbo coupe, and i love the high rise:banana:
  13. to break it down.. a brown(tan) high rise will be found in loyale with automatic seatbelts. the sifter trim needs to be pieced together to make a brown "RX" style console. you will need 1 brown d/r console/shifter trim, and 1 brown small square riser with diff lock swtich from a single range fulltime w/diflfock
  14. i think there is a difference between the coupe & sedan/wagon. i do know there is some difference among the EA82 line with the front belt buckles..as there are 2 different widths of the metal "buckle" part. don't rember which ones were wider though. i do remember that using black belt recievers from an 85 rx sedan did not fit my buckles on the 89 coupe i had
  15. hehehee i knew someone would notice that LOL:lol:
  16. yeah ill start anothe portland/vancouver meet & drive this year
  17. I'd would do.... A: sell it and get a turbo gl. or B: start off with a better platform. ie; legacy, impreza dont waste the money on a 2wd spfi
  18. Don't worry tyler were just messin with ya..but yeah big NO on the F&F look..as you can see my car is allready ghey looking, don't go worse that that
  19. i bork a rod, it swung and borke the casing & piston. as seen here http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/4012003_0825_007_.JPG
  20. true, my first turbo was fast..until the 7" hole of death
  21. and leg protection from crappy wire wheels on an angle grinder, lol
