  1. c'mon guys lets not give him false info viceman-- there is ALOT more work that needs to be done than "just dropping in a turbo motor". it is not that simple.
  2. well if he uses an entire na motor (non xt) he will not be able to use his MPFI manifold. so then there will be wirring issues if he wants to keep it fuel injected
  3. gary its not an xt so he wil need the turbo heads too, since they are dual port.. his na engine will either be spfi/carb, which have single port heads.
  4. wrx ones will not fit, youll need to use suspension from another EA82 chasis car. BPV= by pass valve. routes the blow off air back into the intake, instead of the atmosphere.
  5. no need to do all that work!!, just install the NA block with the turbo heads(plugged turbo lines) and manifold. now you got MPFI non turbo . also the non turbo headers ( y pipe) will bolt to you exhasut where your downpipe used to be..
  6. the europe & japan EA82's all came with a button for recirc/fresh air..too bad we didn't get it
  7. air suspension can be replaced with coils/struts. dont bother with a BOV runs 7psi stock, I'd add an intercooler before you start boosting it. then it woud be wise to add a BPV. heats kills these cars, a good radiator, IC are a must now you can search for details,
  8. russ - on the front of my wagon for teh 5 lug, i bought brand new 2wd xt6 struts from the dealer. due to the drop(from the struts) the 4wd gl springs were just too soft. i was having some rubbing issues with my 17's and had to roll my fenders. i swapped out for 450lb springs. not the best ride quality, but defeinitly better handling. id imagnine the xt6 2wd struts are/will be stiffer/higher damping than your pre-5lug xt 2wd struts
  9. ok side note rant: for ***** sake will some please remove the incorrect/stupid usage of GC8 in that USRM article ..we dont even have the "gc8" in america, so just say impreza. GC8 makes the n00bs go like this . I wish people actually knew what it stood for before using it, i know corky is with me on this one
  10. you should email the winning bidder and ask if he could scan that broucher for the board
  11. im glad this thread go t started as i have been wanting to see thule/yakima roof racks on coupes.. so it looks like due to the short roof you need 1 pari of gutter mounts, and 1 pair of roof mounts?
  12. nice!, single rounds are the way to go:banana:
  13. yeah i told him he wont be able to tuck with thoose, and better have some stiff springs not to rub
  14. the one pictured is for an EA81, the EA82 high rise does not have switches.. i if your looking for an EA82 highrise, search for loyales with the auto seatbelts. they're the ones that had them
  15. aside form the leone part, we got GL MPFI non turbos in 85/86 pretty rare to come by and I belive all of them were 2wd. there still should be a red one out @ fosters though
  16. I tore off the vinyl, made the pods and recovered in fabric well thats one of those spots that when standing up you dont see:drunk: any way i could have made the pod maintain the same curve as the door panel on teh bottom.BUT either way i could not have it fully extend to the edge as it would hit some of the plastic trim inside when the door shut
  17. russ, he's keeping the jdm intake the same (for a NA use), just gotta make it mate to the cars wirring
  18. gary, that tube from the head to the intake is your egr pipe, your mpfi NA spider has no egr system. just splice the conection ..IIRC you might wanna talk with tex about wirring when using the NA spider in a turbo car, as he wirred in a na spider for turbo use. check out my post on xt6.net as you will have to wire in a resistor keep you CEL off due to lack of an egr system..
  19. couldn't abnormal voltage casue problems with the digi cluster? IE; bad voltage regulator. do you have a volt gauge or spare alternator to throw in there?
