Anyone tried this kit?
subaru_styles replied to Ever Victorious's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
they will be an upgrade, however don't use the crappy @ss bulbs they give you...to compliment the those better housings, i would get/search the H4 bulbs from http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/ free shipping on the orders and they carry some very good osram & phillips bulbs not sold here. you should also add a relay to your headlights..all that should blow the stock lights away -

New mirrors for the RX!
subaru_styles replied to TROGDOR!'s topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
cool..i was thinking about the same thing as coupe mirrors have different bases than the 4dr/wagons... i was also looking into using xt/xt6 carpet and rear bottom seat as they seem too be very close if not the same to a coupes. i noticed the plastic pieces that hold the carped down at the door jams are the same bewtween the coupes and xts -
blank screen for me too

ok.. backround info..i have been super lazy as far as replacing the speakers and factory tape deck in teh turbo coupe..well last week, installed speakers. and thoose who have 2drs know the back speakers are a pain in the @ss. you basiclly have to remove all the plastic from the rear of the car, with all the old/brittle/broken clips. fun. last night. first real downpur in a while. late night after work i go to my car. pop the hatch to throw my stuff in there, and.......... on each side its a frikin waterfall of rain water pourin on the inside of my car. where you might ask? All inside the speakers and surronding area. yeah. so when i start it up i turn off the radio, keep it off today..i try it tonight..fade to the back and hear burrap burrap burrap. Yae

well you not going to see any gains from adding an intercooler, its just added "safety" for the engine. you may actually see a very slight drop in psi due to the new larger air area that has been created..but...no its IC'd you can feel better about upping the boost

^^^ yep..its for EJ cars as 89 was the first year of teh legacy

Some JDM AWIC goodness
subaru_styles replied to subaru_styles's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
well the key is to search, jdm importers, forums, ebay..etc they pop up every once in a while.. ok on a side note im going to have to get a pump still, but am interested in setting up similair to the stock legacy setup ie: createing a circut theat will run the pump at low speed.... then either at wot, or at a certain temp(or both!) the pump will be switched to recieve full voltage, and run full speed -
well i got home late tonight to I finally got my JDM legacy awic.. so iI will keep you updated on the install, which is probably not going to be "too soon" as i have been working my @ss off the majority of the summer:banghead: still need to install my RX skirts, 5 lug, bigger turbo.that have been sitting aroudn forever..not to mention a tempermental RX wagon.. plus when i opened the box i found out i even recieved the J-pipe and factory BPV with it:banana: *edit* I was also thinking ...go the route of removing the ac condensor and installing a small radiator OR getting a new 2core metal radiator and running the water through the tranny lines on it...input please!

subaru_styles replied to Syonyk's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
IIRC late 80's honda acord front springs will work on the rear of your car to give the butt a little lift, if its an ea82
