well i get a call yesterday that my younger brother is having problems with his gl-10 (4sdp auto). it seems that the car shifts perfectly fine, however it will not go into overdrive. any advise on how to solve this.. i dont know anything about the 4eat, but is this being caused by something external or internal?

so id figure I'd ask you WA guys that frequent the u-pulls alot . im looking for a MK3 golf/GTI hood in sequoia green. the color was available from 95-97, paint code LG6S/L2 (found under the carpet near the spare tire). if its a 98 it's a different, darker, color..classic green. . I have been searching for a long time, as well as trying to find someone to swap front ends..but alas, no luck. so many thanks ahead of time! it's the only thing i need to finish my gti conversion pic of the color. with subaru content of course, lol

yeah i did it to my red coupe when i had it..it actually made it idle and rev slightly better afterward

other countrys got the ea81 style RX , when the EA82 style came out it was the RX II, for us it was the first RX

nice man, i picked up the exact same car. and no thats not my real hair:lol: anyways, I used to live in bend too. one word of advise. getting parts in that town sucks!! brad's auto,smith rock auto, the guru, etc.. all charge way too much for their parts. best bet is to get parts from private sellers, usmb, ebay, or move to a town that has u-pulls! ah i love portland:)

if you are going to have your car lowered, do NOT use pug wheels. they do not have a high enough offset to be able use on a lowered soob.

well most people have said paint it to match, but the wing & lip came from the factory black:confused: i definitly think the wing should be painted to match. but im affraid the lower kit all painted might not match the car good enough to look good.. as there is no way im putting the $$ into this damn thing to get the whole car re-sprayed.. i just looked at pics of the ultimateRX with a painted kit and black wing. not really what i like ( sorry corky) . Oh well i just gonna go for it. I guess and see how it turns out.

blind sight all the parts can run in the area of about $150-$400. depending on where you obtain them

well i know most of you don't like the styling and looks type of threads, but i having some trouble deciding on some paint options.. the blue coupe currrently has the front lip and spoiler in black. so since i now have got the rear and side RX kit i have debated a few combinations.. black spoiler and black lower kit blue spoiler & black lower kit all painted to match the car front lip and spoiler black, sides & rear blue i have an extra RX wing in white that i can get painted to match. so i can swap to my preference, but what's your input? im leaning towards the all black.

heheh. there's a baby blue rabbit in WA that has a vr6 swapped into it, oh...and a turbo kit on top of that

it all depends, one of mine ticks at startup but as soon as the oil starts pumping it goes away.. with others, sometimes is constant and quiet or .......loud non stop:lol: . switching to a heavier weight oil, or using some MMO or sefoam has cleared it up for many alot of usmb folks..do a little searching of old threads and you will come across alot of info on the subject. -Brad

well when I got my coupe the diff lock never worked (rx trans).. have a feeling it was shorted or messed up by the previous owner/kid who told me there was power at the switch but the diff lock wasnt working. when i pulled the shifter trim the switch harness was not plugged in. so i decided to check..there is no power going to the switch, or the selinoids in the engine bay..made sure all the harness's in the pass. kick panel were plugged in. 12v branches for the switch from somehere , but of course no fuse in the block for it. and i don't have a FSM. i highly doubt it, but any single hidden fuse for the diff lock? any suggestions on where to check next? -Brad
