i know im bringing up a old topic but instead of buying the washer everytime, i just got one of those quick flow tips that is just a valve that you can open or close to let the oil out.... sooooo much less mess and hassle when changing the oil. just put a old one gal milk container (usually little more than one, or an old windshield wiper bottle ) and there you go!

the shields were good up to the cat.after that all hell broke loose, literally. two of the upper shield bolts for the next exhaust peice for past the cat had rusted so badly they were no longer holding the shield in place. it was a pain to rock the shield up and down so that the other side came off. the bottom shield is still there since it wasent budging. long story short i put pipe clamps but no screws past the header until the cat. rattle seems to be gone..... for now any sugestions to remove those rusted bolts (already tried soaking them, etc)

hey, i lived in fishersville for a while and the only place that i really took my car was the subie dealer in harrisonburg. not because they are the best but because there are not many places that work on these cars in that area. i currently live in dc and i have a guy i would recommend up here but not worth the drive for you. what city are you in exactly? you can try cartalk.com and put in your zipcode and see what places pop up. they rate local mechanics in your area.

blazer... i just remembered that i showed you my legacy when i posted a question about my ac giving me issues. i had the green legacy and met with you at your work off judicial. in any case, i took my car to a place called AK auto in vienna which worked on my electrical problem for days and charged me a very resonable amount. my ac is still working, and i really recommend that place. here is a link to them. http://www.akautoservice.com/ in addition, he emailed me after i received my car to remind me to keep my gas tank full to ensure the components insidethe tank stay lubricated, etc. seemed to be very knowledgeble and resonable. i am taking my car there for the timing when needed. -let us know when you do, i want to know what he quotes you as it has been a while since i was there and asked myself. (btw i found him on cartalk.com) -ali
