  1. The splines seem okay so hopefully I'm not gunna have to buy one but ill def keep that in mind. Do you know if the front hubs off a turbo are the same? The splines in the hun are ruined and a turbo hub is all I can find around here
  2. I was talking about the threads for the castle nut. Sorry, shoulda been a bit more specific. The old castle nut was really wore out and wouldnt even torque down on the axle. I hope a nut with better threads will at least get me by until i find another axle or at least figure something else out. Ive checked the splines and they appear to be okay.
  3. If i seen and read right you are running dual t-cases? how do those work together?
  4. Personally im more worried about the precise drilling. As with the flat spots for the lugs, im pretty handy with a grinder
  5. Thanks so much!! Now im just hoping the threads on my axle arent too worn out to use. I know, this isnt close to being the most attention happy car ive owned. To be completely honest, i think my car has more rust than steel, so its pretty much a typical michigan car
  6. Its rare to find anything without rust up here. Oh wow! At least I'm not the only one
  7. Damn this sucks. I'm gunna check a few private junk yards this weekend and see where that gets me. Ill call the Subaru dealer tomorrow and see if they know what the hell I'm talking about. Times like right now is when I wish I owned an older chevy so I wouldn't be having this issue but whatever. Ik when its all fixed I'm gunna love this thing more than ever. Sorry about all the ranting and raving, I've had to put all new brakes,a new axle, wheel bearings, ball joints, and now all this just this week.
  8. Im out of luck on both a dealer and a junkyard :/Nnearest junkyard with an EA is bout 125 miles and a dealer is bout 65 miles 1 way.
  9. Does anyone have or know where you can get the tapered washer thing that goes into the hub before the spindle nut?
  10. Does anybody know if its real hard to rebuilt the calipers?
  11. Those wheels have nearly the same offset as my 15x8 Chevy rally wheels i picked up. Do those 235s rub at all?
  12. People seem to be raggin on you about that spoiler but I can honestly say I like it. But, i tend to try and differ myself and my toys from other people...hence the reason i baught my Subaru. You got yourself a sweet little car on your hands. Be sure to post more pics when the body kit is installed
  13. Finally got my rims finished, painted and ready to put on the car. I'm PUMPED! 15x8 Chevy Rally rims. Yes, I know those are street tires but just temporary. And a free donation off my moms PT Cruiser...hopefully she doesnt notice
  14. Already got urself a good start. That's gunna be a pretty neat car when finished. I'm def gunna follow this build. Keep it up
  15. +1 sweet legacy man. Any plans for it? Or the forester?
  16. That makes perfect sense. i did end up beveling mine but that was before i read this. I went over each one a few times just to be completely positive everything matched up and was even. I put the wheels on, went for a ride around the mile, never had a shake or a shimmy, even at 65 mph. Good enough for me :-p I do agree on redrilling the hubs tho. the ONLY reason I didnt do it to mine was due to the fact I dont have the necessary tools at hand and i was rather impatient. Id rather have someone more experienced drill my hubs out as well. At least someone who has done it a time or 2 before.
  17. Wow i never knew that. i kinda figured itd take a tole on the belt. all i can say is...SAWEET! that sure saves me a few pennies. Ill def have to go check out. I find something else wrong with this thing everyday. I just had the passenger side caliper freeze up on me and now im looking at a minimum of $60 new!
  18. I got looking closer at the car thia morning and realized that both of the outer and the center timing belt covers are broken. I have no place around here to get any parts whatsoever. Any ideas?
  19. According to a few signs we have up around the city, we are geographically the center of the lower penninsula. Ill definately have to do that. Itd be a good time. Same goes for you if youre ever in MI. Ive been over the bridge many times while growing up. It is beautiful once you get into the U.P. Lots of good trails up that way too.
  20. Hot Dog Man! Someone else from Michigan That is quite a ways, that sucks. i found it easier to do the 6 lug personally but im a lazy a@# :-p
  21. Those stock wheels on the car are just temporary. I did plan on blasting and painting them for winter. Thanks, I put a good amount of time since i couldnt really build it from scratch. everything i had was already bent and whatnot. Getting it all to fit and flow together was a pain in the a@%! The wheels peeking through the back window were a set of 15x10 6 lug wagons i redrilled but a bit too much offset and I rubbed on the inner fender so today i swapped them for a set of 15x8 Chevy Rally wheels. Already have them drilled and tires mounted. Should have pics of them on the car tomorrow. Those will be black soon as well. That thread helped me quite a bit. Thanks
