  1. about 20 minutes per fender. only cut the front ones so far.
  2. Finally got some gumption and did some work on my '88 GL wagon. Took some pictures along the way http://www.mnchopshop.org/features/suparoo/fender_cuting.html
  3. does that bracket come on/off ? cuase the first time you stuff that tire up the brackets is gonna either rip off or chew the tire good! how about some fuarther away shots of the ladder?
  4. didnt someone post here that you can drive a subaru up into a U Haul truck (15 footer?) if you fold in the mirrors? dunno if that would be any cheaper. honestly its gonna cost alot any way you cut it
  5. Yep, Drowning Mona! Funny movie I wanted to see the woody wagon but those .BMP images are WAY to large for us lowly dialup users I'll check it out at work tomarrow
  6. that would be so trick if it was that close! i havent heard anything about it
  7. I have the Venom II. I like it so far. Its under $100 and its got a PA output. The only thing I dont like is there is no 'scan' so you can just quickly find a channel with activity. Also the knob used to switch channels is pretty sensitive and I find myself accidently skipping a channel when trying to surf. Other then that it looks slick, was super easy to hook up, comes with a bracket for universal mounting and has a PA out put for yelling at morons on the road Range I honestly dont know. I have an ultra crappy and extra small antena so I really dont know its full capabilities but even with this little antenna I can pick up people on the north side of the metro area and I live on the south side of the metro area.
  8. I too am a big fan of wiring your electric fan to a switch. The thermo switches are junk. They go out and you dont know untill you boil over a few times and check the fan. Getting them out w/o busting the tanks on those cheap radiators is a pain too. Dual electric fans would be ideal. There is a reason 12" dual electric fans come on the Legacy. Its just smart
  9. I submited a bunch of usefull information that was never posted to the USRM. Never even got a reply back.
  10. I'm running the 8140 Universal Accel Super Stock. It's rated to run on a 472 cubic inch cadillac engine so I think it puts out plenty of power for our little buggers One of the things I swiped for the Subaru before selling my hot rod I dunno why youd get one off ebay. They are cheap and should be instock at any reputable parts store.
  11. If the MPFI is a good deal I see why that would motivate your desicion but honestly the MPFI is overly complex for little to no gain. Would be much easier swaping and working on an SPFI or a carbed engine IMHO. You can really strip down the SPFI and carbed models to just bare minimal function and get it working in no time. Just my 2 cents. Seeing a BRAT with an MPFI engine would be neat tho
  12. If anyone else needs one for an EA82 just email me and I'll ship it out. Thanks morganm@mnchopshop.org
  13. could you achieve 1 or 2 inches of suspension lift on these buggers with just taller springs and struts ? any way you cut it you are spending over 100 dollsars. why not go 300 and get EVERYTHING you need but new rims/tires ?
  14. I used 2 quarts on my '88 GL wagon. This was mearly a light coating however. You could easily put a gallon on her if you want a real thick coat.
  15. Yeah ive seen those on GL10 sedans and wagons. Never got a set off w/o ripping them up Little bolts get rusted and are damn near impossible to get off w/o breaking something. They sure look neat tho!
  16. The firing order is 1324 not 1342. That might be where you should start looking If you have removed the dist. and reinstalled it then I would also look there more closely. Make sure it is not a tooth or 2 off. Make sure it isnt 180 off. Did you touch the timing belts? If so make sure they havent slipped a tooth and that they are properly installed.
  17. I guess I have to ask why? I've never had a problem burping my system as it is. Benefit vs. Investment ?
  18. Recreational and professional artist. I prefer sketching and sculpting but get paid to do web design and print production. Can't have my cake and eat it too I guess
  19. Mine were very hard to find. Wish I had orderd 5 now isntead of 4! I got them by pure chance. Bumped into a thread on the old board prolly... 3 years ago now? It mentioned a guy west of here (montana I think?) that has a Pugeot only junk yard! He had plenty of rims laying around and shipped me four 15" steel rims for just over $100. Wish I still had emails from that transaction Maybe someone else remembers more about this junkyard?
  20. Indeed there is a big difference. The 4WD clutch plate and pressure plate are considerably larger. As a resulte the flywheel is machined to fit the larger sized components. I know little about the rotors, sorry!
  21. Werd up J Money! Glad to have a new member that brings some past experience to the table. See you around the USMB!
  22. Would they be wearing car bras and posing on exoatic beaches???!!!
