  1. try to find where the leak is, if its not too obvious spray some of the aerosol deoderant on the supsected areas, it will run if theres a leak there.
  2. Every time someone came into our shop with a bad coolant leak, and used the stop leak to fix it, they always came back for a clogged radiator. when i say every time, i mean every single time. fix it right the first time and you won't have the issue again.
  3. Yeah, so I don't know why some worked and others didn't, but let me know which ones don't work and i'll try to make it better. and if you havn't given me your address, i need that.
  4. So I get back to detroit from the WCSS6 and the first advertisement for a car I see is supprizingly not for GM, its for subaru, and theres not one but 2. Both feature the new legacy GT with dual exhaust, and one says "when does a tool become a toy" and the other says "when does necessity become desire" Cobo 01.05.05 if only it were january 5th, let me tell you, subaru is up to good things, and if the adverts are any indication, subaru sales are gonna soar.
  5. I have to cut you all off, I'm in Michigan now so I don't have a burner anymore, However on the CD that I kept for myself it didn't work, so if your CD dosn't work let me know, and i'll get it fixed asap. If you are in the seattle area, and still want a CD, talk with Tex or Austin, but be nice, i'm volunteering them without their permission yet, give them the 5 bucks for their time and cost of a CD, and they'll make sure the extra goes to the message board. Thanks Austin and Tex. don't hate me.
  6. Austin is off today, and laurel left to run parts just before I showed up.
  7. All this fighting over me may go to my head. stop guys. BTW, i'm at Carter Subaru getting an oil change and rotate, they have faster internet than my dad. yay.
  8. Garner, I need an Addy, unless you are up in Seattle.
  9. Sounds good RR @ 6:30, btw whats the approximate location? i havn't been there in a while. Zap, I'll stop by your place some time this afternoon, and drop off CD's,I just got to finnish burning a bunch
  10. I havn't gotten ahold of tex, but i'm assuming that its still a go. I'm thinking dinner and CD's around 6 somewhere in the north seattle area, to try and minimize the driving for eveyone, if anyone has any good ideas let me know

  14. I will be burning CD's with around 300 pics. high res jpeg, and depending on responce i'll try to get a bunch made to ship out for those of you not fortunate enough to live in the PNW. I'm probably gonna price it out at around 5 bucks a cd, for shipping and cd costs, and the rest will go to the message board. Let me know. On a similar vein, we'll be talking about this show until the next one a year from now, if you were close enough to attend and didn't you missed out.
  15. You two guys are too cool for seting up the best WCSS ever, a million thanks, it was definately worth the flight from michigan, Congratulations on a job well done. Thank you Very much.
  16. whats with the power light on auto legacy's? I drive a MT so i'm not up on my auto's, is it safe to drive?
  17. If you are thinking newer you should try the new gen fourum, but i have a 91 legacy and its great, the 2.2 is bulletproof, i'd reccomend a manual tranny and always check to make sure it has AWD that wasn't standard until the mid 90's pretty much anything 2.2 is good to go, thats the impression i've gathered.
  18. I'm getting 27-28, mostly highway. welcome to the legacy club, that makes a whole bunch lately.
  19. Most new cars have sensors that will adjust timing to the octane used, so using 87 won't ruin the motor but it will run like crap.
  20. I blew and idler pulley in Forsythe Montana, it was an EA-82, but lesson learned, change timeing(sic) components on time, or you do the time in a sleazy motel, but the people in montana are fabulous, a real 10+ croud, but the people in CoalStrip are hicks.
  21. I browsed, sorry, but i like the classic... person in front of car, this is my Subaru ______ its got 2,000,000 miles and i love it, repeat 5 times, showing cars like Kens brat and Corkys turbo's the people that drive subarus, dont drive them cause they look good, go fast, although the fast part is changing quick, or because it makes them cool. subaru drivers are not the "cool" croud, the're the sensible, "I want a car that can go anywhere when i need it to, like out of a snowy driveway, but i want reliability and a ruggedness" the core audience of the subaru is a smart person that shops around and once they get a subie they usually get a second.
  22. I too got a 91 Legacy, on Tuesday, I'm also excited about the bolt on mods, i need to keep it drivable, so i don't have time for cams and such. Its looking like the TB coolant bypass and an intake and exhaust are the best mods for ease of use, and NGK plugs of course, i don't know what i have, i'm worried it might be champions, that would be horrible. mine needs the front cam seals, so i'm gonna do timing belts and the front crank seal with them soon.
  23. So as you may know, I have an 88 DL, but due to a miscommunication, an O-ring was left out of the engine, so i went through 4 qts of oil in 50 miles. i now cannot drive the ol' 88. I'm waiting on a friends lease to start so i can pull the engine in his driveway and get the car out of my school's parking lot. So here's where the section choice gets sticky, this should go in new gen, but nobody knows me over there, long story short, i am the proud new owner of a 1991 Legacy L 5spd AWD. a sweet score for only 1500, and to boot, the lady i bought it from had 2 outbacks, a 98 and an 04, and their neighbor who turned them on to subaru had an 86 hatchback, and is now styling in a 95 OBS. these are good people, from the heart of the motor city ironically. So if any of you'se guys are around the "D" (Go Pistons) we should have a Detroit subaru meet and greet. I'm excited, can't you tell thanks for listening. BTW, i have no internet, unless i find the Eastpointe library, so if you need to get ahold of me 231 580-6249
