  1. I'll be flying out either friday or saturday, either way i'll need a place to stay, Freddie? Austin? walmart parking lot?
  2. i like what you've done with the grille, but just an idea, not a critique, maybe if you paint the cross brace drab black behind the grille it won't show up as much. just my two cents feel free to poo poo it.
  3. i'll get that monday off, so that if the weather does hold you up i'll have the extra day.
  4. i can't check now but i should, i'll post after work, it'll be a 3mb file though
  5. i'm guessing the hill holder, it should be adjusted looser and the problem should go away.
  6. just a heads up, i learned the hard way, use the same pressure plate and flywheel and you should be in the clear, as in EA-81--EA-81 cause if you use both, well, i wasn't goin anywhere fast. Clutch disc should obviously be the right one for the transmission splines
  7. so many subaru's in one place, are you sure that wasn't seattle?
  8. all EA series cars with EA engines are 63 amp alts, the XT-6 is a 90 amp unit thats from 80 newer, i can't speak to the pre 80 gen one cars
  9. take a normal candle, one without too much of the scent or coloring, although i don't think it matters, and while its running, BE EXTRA CAREFUL, now that the caution is out of the way, hold it to the side of the V the part that contacts the pully >V< that will give it a good coating, and help it from squeaking too. don't go too thick, if you see it thats too much, just hold it to it for 5 seconds or so.
  10. there are also, mostly during the summer i hear, east side meets, in the st clare shores area, check out nasioc periodically to see if there having one in the midwest forum.
  11. i'd say personal preference, but basic Castrol seems to be used by most dealerships in the states.
  12. Don't see just what you are looking for? E-mail me at soobme85@yahoo.com, or call me at (541) 840-7251. On a side note, i have his bumpers and roofrack, they are excellent, i'd hightly reccomend them.
  13. Hodges subaru is my dealership, well not mine, but i've gone there ever since i bought my 91 legacy from a family that always went there with it, i've had nothing but the best of luck with them, and rumor has it there the best in SE michigan. on an unrelated note every tuesday at 7:00pm me and some guys from the NASIOC board meet at the BW3, (buffalo wild wings) in Novi off 696, ask for "subaru" and heather, a cute short blonde in a red shirt will show you where we are.
  14. YEAH!! JK, i'm just trying to build up my post count.
  15. So as you may know i'm picking up austin's yellow wagon, and if you are lucky enough to live on the I90 corridor or I94 there could, should be some meeting going on, especially if you live near Minnie, cause then maybe austin could leave the car there, and we can both work around weekends to make things better for work and such, plus it would be cool to see other subie crazy people.
  16. if your running a carby pump good luck, its running 3 psi you need 30 to get the ej22 running
  17. what about the possibility of an OBDII scanner?
  18. i believe anything past 94, i don't know if that includes 94. on a side bar however, apparantly with a little mod to the end of the y pipe the 2.5 y pipe will fit onto the pre, dual port, heads.
  19. did you verify spark? if the wires were on wrong he could have left the rotor off when he put it back together. when you cycle the key do you get the fuel pump to come on, it should humm for a second or two. after that it should work, all you need are spark, fuel and compression, air is also nice, but usually not an issue, but check the air filter anyway. good luck
  20. Its usually and supposed to be free, but it helps to bring a good looking girl, its always free then, but its hit or miss if you show up alone. I'm assuming this is on the Turbo? because i don't know what other cars you have. the wear is obviously from where the tires were and not where they are now. the imbalance will be magnified on the front as compared with the back. if this is the legacy, it could be the new wrx struts you put in, they could be affecting your camber and caster, and toe even.
  21. I'm swaping in a legacy engine into my 88 Wagon, and i was wondering what the tranny ratios are for the 5mt, If there tall enough it may be worthwhile to bring the tranny over with the engine, but if their not i'll stick with the 5DR. any help would be great.
  22. Now for a really radical idea, how different are the sizes of the tanks, can i run the Legacy tank on the EA-82? just thinking out loud i'll see if i can get pics to show the difference and answer my own question.
