  1. If you cant quite figure out what he did to that 3dr... he pulled the hatch and had a button on vinyl cover (with window) made for it. It is by far the most interesting 3dr I have ever seen. I actually kinda like it more than the big ol hatch too.
  2. If you have 4WD and a weber you must run truck/suv (if a brat) or open class if a car (unless you have the special stuff on your door badge... MPV... like jasons 76 wagon) If you have 2WD... you can probably run group 2 where you CAN run snow tires and a weber. and they dont respect the honor system of you SAYING you will keep it in FWD... I already tried My 87 is WAY too modified to run in production now... so its open class for me... I need some hakkipalita 10's for the car though
  3. Ask SubieGal (http://www.subiegal.com) She had a welded front diff on her 1.8 liter FWD 5 speed impreza rally car
  4. If Brian doesnt want em... come to the rallycross in Hood River on the 24th and sell them as rally tires
  5. Zap was the first recipient of pics of my brat... since he is one of the lifting experts
  6. That could work. As long as it ends up lifted I dont mind where it happens. It would be nice we could do it here. I have not yet developed complete faith in the brat (someone would have to follow me up to seattle area if I drove it up) At least it made it back to portland with a bad battery AND alternator all the way from the oregon coast The lift and brat are here, so if we did it at jasons or something that could work... I need to get the 88 finished and out of there fast then! The lift is just sitting in my wagon right now waiting to be installed so everything I need is here and ready whenever everyone else is.
  7. I had a set of those... paid $25 for the set (with mismatched studded tires) I just gave em away when I sold my 86 Turbowagon as part of the deal (to keep the price UP at $1900)
  8. Ha.... this thead sucks now... all the old pics dont work..... anyway.. here is mine finally since I can host off the main server
  9. I figured the pics would be circulating... I told eric it was ok after I had to blab what I had when it came to getting new sheet metal for the door sills... oh well... I will have a REAL secremobile someday.... it just better be a non rusty virgin
  10. Hmmmm Zapar = your new name... I woulda figured you woulda stuck with the brown tide.. even though it kinda sounds bad Actually... I hope its bugs... but we need COLOR emoticons!!!!! I am seeing only the last 5 being color plus my fav (this)
  11. Ok... well since I needed sheet metal and revealed my project, and therefore changed my signature.... people know I have an 82 brat.... However a select few have seen the pics (subie gal, ezap, general disorder, and hondasucks) So... for the rest of you... here is my OTHER baby.... (going up for sale when done though... I want a newer one as a keeper)
  12. the interesting thing is... my 88 (see signature) makes NO noise at all... even with 207K... my 87 makes it every day on startup for like 10 seconds.... Ya I know I should keep the 88, but the 87 is my baby, so oh well, some subaru nut will get a cherry SPFI wagon.
  13. I agree with the oil pump thing.. the oil pump pumps volume... but sucks air when the gaskets get old... therefore the oil foams and lifters tap..... that is the simple solution as that is something you can do in the front of the engine (with the cam seals, FRONT crank seal, possibly water pump, and oil pump, and timing belts of course...) Failing that.... clean and resoak the lifters...
  14. If the price is right I may want em
  15. good luck... Put me in line for the special off road subaru fun SubaRubicon edition
  16. Try to find some hakkipalitas (ok I butchered the spelling) but they rock. They are snow tires, so you can run studs with em
  17. Woa.. sweet we have the I'd hit it banana Anyway I think the trip is happening Sunday. I need to talk it over with Rob first. I need to get the blades tomorrow (was working on the 87 today, and getting a couple hundred dollars worth of genuine subaru parts )
