  1. Kevin, You just need to donate your old OBS turbo kit to me to put on Sommer's car.....it REALLY needs some more omph......
  2. Kevin, I know nothing bout IC's, but don't raise it up too close to the hood, leave at least a half inch space to allow the body to flex with out damaging the IC, then put some 3/4" foam tape around the IC frame to seal it to the hood to make sure it gets all the air coming in, and make sure there is somewhere for the air to go out the bottom....
  3. I was in Denmark (Holstebro) back when I was school, on a school trip....you were just a wee pup then....I think it was 1981..... ....man I feel old.....
  4. Josh, You need to come up to the Dragon Meet next spring, X35 is coming up from Brownsville, TX (right down on the Mexican border) so you could caravan up with him..... You could definitely give the manual tranny a work out on the Dragon!
  5. The early Legacy's are lighter, and I think my old one felt faster than the 98 Outback we have now...I love the EJ22...but our Outback runs pretty good too. The 96 OBS we used to have didn't seem to be as quick as the early Legacy's either...might all be in my head:-\
  6. You do realize the EJ22 won't bolt to your EA82 tranny, right? You'll need an adapter, or a newer gen. manual tranny Just read th elast few posts...somebody already mentioned this....oh well...
  7. I know where all the XT6.net people go when the site is down:D
  8. I've got a 98 Outback 2.5 DOHC 4EAT, with 110k on it, no problems, other than a slight oil leak from the front crank seal, which I replaced when I did the T-Belt. No Head gasket problems, and no tranny problems....it's a great car, but wish Subaru had kept the non-interferance engines.....I love the EJ22, EG33, EJ27....
  9. X35, I've been watching this thread too, wondering about fitment on the XT6, which has the Serpentine belt also....
  10. Well, I got 37-38 psi with the FPR unplugged....what is the pressure supposed to be on it? It's just supposed to be 30 psi on the XT6...so I figure it's the same on the Impreza....but maybe not? It's got good spark, and it's in time....don't know why it won't start....
  11. Thanks Michael.... I'm going to try to borrow a fuel pressure tester to see if it's getting enough pressure tonight...
  12. Not all Legacy's were AWD, from 90-95 They were offered with FWD or AWD as an option.... The 2.2 is one of Subaru's best engines...but 97-up is an interferance engine
  13. The Impreza Sedan I'm fixing for my 16 year old daughter won't start. It's a 95 AWD 5-Speed EJ18...with about 125k(hard miles) on the ticker It's cranking over fine, it's getting good fire to the plugs, but won't start. It will stumble a little like it's tring to start, but won't quite start. I'm thinking a fuel delivery issue, but I can hear the pump kick on, and there is fuel in the line to the fuel rails, but doesn't seem to have much pressure when I take the line loose... So could it be a FPR problem, or could the fuel pump be running, but not pumping enough pressure? Most fuel pump problems I've had the pump just seizes up, usually if it runs, it works....so I'm confused.... Any suggestions would be welcome... Thank in advance, Huck
