1979 Brat wheels/size/upgrade
Hi, this seems very interesting. I don't have a strait answer for your question, at least based on my own experience.....my 79 Brat has always used 13". Still, I believe that as long as all the tires, specially the front ones don't rub the fenders while cornering nor falling into a pothole, you should be ok. But, please what are you planning to do with this truck: keep it stock, low riding, off road?

So, no imbalance and no rubbing?

Front end difference question
1 gen Brats are divided in two: GL and DL. All body parts are the same EXCEPT the front grill (either 2 or 4 headlights) and the body part that supports the grill and front bumper right in front of the radiator.

Ok....check this threats: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/90029-ea71-oil-prime/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AirSoob/message/1301 If you're using a check gauge make sure there're no bubbles, oil relief valve (my personal choice) and the oil (synth or mineral?).

What symptoms (what you see and what you hear) are indicators of low oil pressure at idle?
-
bonvos winter warrior
Sound like the oil relief valve is stuck.
