  8. Hi, this seems very interesting. I don't have a strait answer for your question, at least based on my own experience.....my 79 Brat has always used 13". Still, I believe that as long as all the tires, specially the front ones don't rub the fenders while cornering nor falling into a pothole, you should be ok. But, please what are you planning to do with this truck: keep it stock, low riding, off road?
  9. 1 gen Brats are divided in two: GL and DL. All body parts are the same EXCEPT the front grill (either 2 or 4 headlights) and the body part that supports the grill and front bumper right in front of the radiator.
  10. When I got all 4 shocks for my 79 gl Brat, i used this number for the front cartridges: G44730 and this one for the rear shocks: 82018.
  11. Good to know.....so, what's the normal procedure for "breaking" an overhauled EA71. You got info from a service manual???

  13. What symptoms (what you see and what you hear) are indicators of low oil pressure at idle?
